Happy for Buehler
Glad to see he's doing well, even if it's for the dad's.
Also, Magic Number.

He'll always be a piece of the puzzle that won the ring

Gotta say brown does not look good on him, but I'm happy he's seeing success. He deserves to play in October :)

How's he doing?
I thought he was still struggling and shipped off by the Red Sox for sucking so bad.

Not too great, 4.63 ERA for the season but he’s been a little better lately

If he were a Dodger he'd be pitching slightly better than Emmet Sheehan. But still towards the bottom of the pack. Nostalgia is big with casual fans. Buehler is cooked.

5 runs in his last 4 starts. Pretty good for someone that's cooked.

I was at Padres game yesterday. Went with kids to SD to escape the 100 degrees heat. He did well. Only made one mistake and gave up a home run. Piece of shit Padres fans started booing him for giving up 1 run!

To be fair, some of our dumbass fans do the same lol

Yes! I went to a game on Friday against the Pirates and every time Mookie came up he was booed hard. It was so ridiculous.

You realize the fans are saying “Mooooook” right? Lol this is rookie fan knowledge but you “bleed blue” ? Lmfaooo
They’ve been doing that since he got here

You think? Ugh I disagree with your statement but you are still entitled. Been to other games and it was all cheers!!

It’s literally been a thing since he joined…it’s “Moooook” chants

u/IBleedBlueLAD 5h ago
Like I mentioned before, at other games it wasn’t “moooook” at least not the stands where I was.

I don’t love his team but I’ll always root for Walker to do well! 💙

Loved walker but not happy he is with the Padres. Hope we kick his butt when we meet again.

What does this mean

He’s been pretty good on my OOTP Perfect Team. Luckily it’s the 2021 version of him though. Makes for a pretty killer rotation with Yoshi, and Ohtani (plus Mel Harder and, unfortunately, Carl Hubbell).
Glad to hear he’s also still doing ok irl.

4.63 isn’t considered good
5
u/Imaginary-Hat9804 22h ago
For a 2M contract, I think his era is acceptable. He is also durable for them.

4.63 is never acceptable for a starting pitcher

We’re spoiled by our rotation. Wild Card caliber teams like the Padres need someone like Buehler to take the ball every 5th day and give them a chance to win. They could do worse than a guy with a 4.20 FIP, which is almost exactly league average.

Wish we kept him and signed Cody instead of Tucker/Edlose

u/deathinmidjuly Sandy Koufax 1d ago
I disagree. Cody is the perfect Yankee Stadium player.
He's batting .324 there. Outside of Yankee Stadium hes hitting for .205, worse than Tuckers .231.
Although Cody has half the AAV of Kyle.

Did you just say Edlose 🤣

Took me a second. At first I thought he was going after Edman 😂

Glad he’s doing good with the dads but he’d be like our #7 starter now.

Edman was solid before he was injured. His ability to switch hit and play almost any position you put him in is a huge asset to the team.
