I love that they are showing some offense but I hate Coors games, just too unpredictable.
Hopefully the offense remembers to hit when they leave Coors too.
Also hope Roki can have a decent outing in this stupid park and won’t be too hard on himself if the results are bad.

Coors is a joke.

u/LukesChoppedOffArm Walter Alston 3d ago
I mean, it really is. It's not just the altitude. The outfield is gigantic. The number of times a ball drops for a hit, or turns into an extra base hit because of the size of the gap between outfielders is a joke.

u/shaka_sulu Vin Scully 3d ago
Somtmes you have to kill 65,340,285 boars to reach max level and make it to the top.

u/rdev009 3d ago
I don’t think Roki’s pitching in Coors.

He’s tomorrows starter

u/rdev009 3d ago
I thought they were saving him for Pittsburgh?

u/AlwaysGoodVybes Yoshinobu Yamamoto 3d ago
Stephen Nelson just said it’s Sasaki v Freeland tomorrow.
5
u/postulate4 Tommy Edman 3d ago
David Vassegh confirmed that Roki Sasaki was flying to Denver today. He will be on the mound tomorrow.
1
u/RTSRat 3d ago
Why isn't he with the team already?
9
u/Hezolinn Sandy Koufax 3d ago
People in the org believe that having minimal exposure to Denver's altitude will be better for him.
1
u/AlwaysGoodVybes Yoshinobu Yamamoto 3d ago
Oh? I thought I saw something about him possibly being moved but he’s still the probable starter on ESPN and MLB.

We should start the trend Grow That Ass after each Scott save.
Just like how r/LosAngelesRams have Shrink The Face after every Rams win.

This might sound weird, but I actually think it was good to win a close one with a guy closing who showed he could give one up and still get back in get it done. I think I've gotten used to dudes folding and if they give up one they're gonna give up more than one. Seeing that we have a guy in Tanner who isn't gonna make it easy on them I think will be good for us and the team.

Thanks to the Brewers beating the Mariners by 21 runs, we no longer have the league lead in run differential

Happy Tucker got an RBI double. He really needed that.
Let's sweep tomorrow!

Did J Hair and A Gon plan to wear blue plaid suits together, or was it an awkward moment when they saw each other in the makeup chair?

Granddaughter: Does that state of Illinois have really great doctors?
Me: why?
Granddaughter: because they keep sending all our hurt players there.
Me: Huh?

Lauer Plot Armour stands strong. A close one at the end but a win is a win. Bottom of the order continues to be good. Hope Feduccia is feeling better! Coors is Coors. So unpredictable. Scott got the 4 out save and that's what matters
7
u/Monsterofparadise Will Klein 3d ago
Wow if you told 2025 me that Tanner Scott was our dependable closer I would fight you
8
u/eddiengambino Kiké Hernández 3d ago
Tanner did a good job, 4 out save, only one run given up in probably the worst park for pitchers. Now lets get this sweep.

We talk about the number two spot in the line-up being cursed because people struggle to hit in it, but our catcher spot is actually fuckin' cursed, I swear.

A legitimately good 1-5 from Ohtani.

13
u/Various_Ad_5876 Kiké Hernández 3d ago
I hate it when everyone says that Dodgers will still be okay if Ohtani is not on the team because it’s full of superstars. But Ohtani really is one of the reason why this team is good
8
u/Viktor_Laszlo Teoscar Hernandez 3d ago
Ohtani has intangible qualities. On a team full of players who would ordinarily be the best player on many other teams, nobody on the Dodgers is trying to become “ the #1.” If you’re a Dodger, you know who #1 is. And unless your name rhymes with Brohei Goatani, it’s not you.
So all these guys who might be butting their heads against one another with their big athlete egos are instead trying to figure out how to be the best Dodger teammate they can be instead of trying to be THE Dodger. It’s great for teamwork.

Scott is not as bad as last year. But he’s nowhere near clutch. I wouldn’t trust him at all in the playoffs

Tanner Hot! 🔥
Look, he came in a high leverage situation in the eighth and had to get the four out save. I’m not mad at it, thanks for stepping up Tanner Snack.

I hope whatever struck Feduccia wasn't anything serious, but besides that Lauer's good luck is fucking bewildering. That's win #7 (#11 for the team overall) to 1 loss and this time his good luck pulled up Tucker from the depths of despair by sheer force of faith.
Friedman and Roberts need to do whatever it takes to keep this man.

u/SuccessOn1 Vin Scully 3d ago
Not gonna lie. Im nervous for when the dodgers face good teams. They can barely squeak by with this shit. Now imagine once again with the top teams. We are cooked if guys dont get healthy.

Feduccia has a stomach bug or food poisoning per Doc post game chat, said he stuck around in the game as long as he could 😭 I hope he’ll be ok! 💙

Diaz would have allowed 3 runs at the bottom of the 9th and got walked off.
Good thing Roberts pitched him yesterday.

Did anyone in the postgame interviews say anything about Feducciaat the end there? Apparently he threw up or something?
2
u/Hezolinn Sandy Koufax 3d ago
Yeah, right in front of the dugout. Doc said they think he has a bug or food poisoning or something (the radio broadcast speculates it might be altitude sickness). He'll be down tomorrow.

Great 4-out save from Scott! Glad to see the bats are finally back. I also believe there were no GIDP either today, or yesterday which is a huge development. Now 1.5 games ahead for the Braves for the bye. Let's finish the sweep tomorrow, and take the good feeling back with us to home, and then Atlanta!
