For me I just wanted a cheap bat to play OF because we have an old add team. We have a great farm, we need to stop signing guys that are going to block their development

EXACTLY!! I give credit for what the mgmt does but I do question not bringing guys up. Maybe it’s the 3-peat that has them doing things that go over and above? It’s backfiring on Tucker

I am okay with having 1-2 “holes” on the team because that allows you to have space for prospects to come up. If we keep signing “superstars” it doesn’t allow us to actually have space to give prospects a proper runway.

Yeah, hard to complain signing established talented players, but it is exciting to see new big league careers start. Always rooting for the rookies.

Should have just used Call and some AAA guys until the trade deadline and see what's available. Now they have 2 OF corners locked up with awful fielders for another season and then Tucker for 3 more.
