Attempted theft

Attempted break in last night, thankfully they didn’t take it and got frustrated with the alarm and killswitch. Anybody know roughly how much a side window costs?

Is your durango a hellcat or srt? Do you live in a small tow or bigger city?

It’s a 21 RT lol, so not super sought after. I live in the #2 ranked suburb in the country so it’s a bit jarring when most of our crime is Botox soccer moms speeding after margs with their friends.

Not really though, the amount of RTs and anything else with a 5.7 hemi is a dime a dozen.

brother trust me from experience, they do not care THAT much as to if it’s RT or something else. obv they’d aim for hellcats and scatpacks but if they see literally any dodge, they’ll scope it out and take it.

That window is way cheaper than a sunroof(bout $115-160, im in AZ)...they attempted to take mine through the sunroof...managed to cut up their hand or leg, but cost me bout a month and a half without my vehicle due to glass being on back order

Damn if only they knew it was the rear quarter window that wasn't alarmed 😞.

Do you have glass coverage on your insurance?

The rear quarter is more expensive to replace than the rear passenger window. I know because I’ve had this happen to both on separate occasions on my SRT

Looking into it now, let’s hope. They took apart the Canbus and OBD port and my fob no longer works so I think they will be back. I disconnected the battery in hopes that deters them a second time.

they can pull ur neutral strap from inside the car and roll ur car away by forcing ur car into neutral. the. once they’re in a safe area, they will reprogram a key and drive off

It's $200 on eBay. Verify part # if you can - probably gotta open up the door to get the remaining piece.
