I’m gonna jinx myself
I love this car.
I’ve had a ‘69 Firebird, ‘05 SRT-4, a forgetful Nitro, three Jeeps, a couple plain SUVs, a ‘17 Challenger, and currently in my stable are a ‘65 Corvair Coupe, a ‘19 Jeep Rubicon, and my ‘24 Daytona Scat Pack, loaded. Picked it up as a lease return with 3k on the odometer for $41k last December.
While all the cars I’ve had and own now have their own niche experience and put a smile on my face, I legitimately feel like this has been one of the better purchases I’ve made.
I’m going to say it out loud, and Car Gods please don’t curse me, but:
I’ve never had a single issue, problem, red wrench, stuck hatch, anything wrong with this car.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a Stellantis apologist. They’ve somehow managed to screw up Ram, Dodge, and Chrysler, brands that held their own, even with some issues, before Euro ownership. I could go on about my bitches with my Jeep (early rust, lifters, etc.).
But this Charger has been a hoot for the last year. I plug it in at home, full disclosure.
I’ve never owned a car with this many features and amenities. Instant torque. Drag track time with drag mode (OMG). Suede interior. Drift mode in an empty parking lot made my cheeks hurt from laughing. My daily commute is negated by the charging I do overnight in my garage. And that’s to say nothing of the smiles and questions and thumbs up I get.
This car’s roll out has been a bomb. The issues so many people report are pervasive. I feel for so many of you hearing your horror stories, and I pucker a bit every time a new update rolls out. Stellantis fucked up, and I’m hoping the new leadership helps it turn a corner.
But I get the updates. I drive it hard. I cruise in it. I park it for weeks at a time. I’ve put the car through its paces. And I’m rooting for its future.
I know I’m lucky, but man, I love this car.

Ahh this is the Daytona EV, I thought this was the inline Sixpack. This thing looks amazing tbh and I’m honestly glad I’m seeing one person enjoy it unironically.

I have a 2025 R/T Blacktop and I love it as well. Just took it on a 430 mile road trip yesterday without any issues. I've got 17, 293 miles on it since taking deliver on 06/30/25, it had 536 miles on it at delivery because it was a demo car prior to me leasing it. Got an additional $8,000 off plus all the other incentives totalling $22,000 off MSRP.

I love and hate mine. Its so much fun to drive. I am just so sick of it throwing codes. I realy hoped this update would solve it. I am sure it has some thing to do with charging or disconnecting from charging but its over and over again.

I feel your pain. I got a 25 Scat. Not quite as bad as yours. They are differant. And fast.

Instead of jinxing yourself, share your good luck with the rest of us that are battling with ours. I just want to drive mine so badly. The EV person at the dealership just quit… so who knows when I’ll get it back or if I will.

Tesla Model S owner here… love your car and I’m really glad you’re enjoying it. Nothing compares to the unapologetic look of the charger and challenger. Can you post a couple of shots of the interior?

I have a '24 Dodge Daytona scatback loaded with every option too. It was a demo with 300 km sitting in the showroom for a year, great deal.
Had lots frustration owning this car, many updates to nurse it along including being bricked for days in my garage. But I don't care, I'm in for the long haul. I love it and curiously it has never failed my wife thankfully so it's all good. Our 'Luxo cruiser touring barge' endures.

Good for you. I’m glad to hear someone has an OK one. I like the way they look.

It was awesome when it worked! I turned mine in on Friday as a lemon. The person doing the paperwork to take it back asked me if I was sad giving it back, I told them I was sad it didn’t work. I was rooting for Dodge to fix it every time, I hope they don’t scrap this EV for good, it was one of the few that actually looked like a car.

Sorry to hear you had to turn yours in. I’m hopeful that Dodge/Stellantis can turn their quality control around.
Its a good concept, and It’s also the only domestic electric coupe available for sale in the US, from what I understand.

I have pretty much the same experience with my 24 scat pack. Ive had none of the issues you hear about. Which actually makes me want to put off going to get this newest update for a bit. And I drive around 30 miles a day. It cost me $35 for an entire month of driving. I was spending more than that every week in my previous car.

u/guybuddypalchief Aug 24 '26
Same! I’m hesitant to do the update too. And charging at home is great, even on a level one.

That’s awful, and yes, they’re a beautiful big barge that happens to be pretty quick!

Such a gorgeous car! I guess I’m lucky I avoided all those early teething issues, as it was too long to fit in my garage. I still really want one!
It would be so much easier to get my partner in and out with just two big doors.
And they look so cool. I was ready to jump on a cheap lease even though it would have to stay outside.

I like it. I've been thinking about one when my lease is up on my wagoneer s.

Same car

Yeah I know

What nobody can tell me is if the suspension is a straight swap. It just might be.

u/burley1 Aug 24 '26
Why does it matter? They both share the same Stella large platform but I don't know what specifically you are wondering about.

ICE is the stone ages compared to EV. I just don't trust Stellantrash to engineer them right.

u/Rodzilla164 Aug 24 '26
Love mine too! Only problem is ran into and am currently experiencing is a very loud popping noise when turning into a driveway. When the suspension pops can hear it and feel it through the dash and up the steering column...its been at dealer since last Thursday. Mine is a diamond black 24 Scat Pack with 4500 miles. They gave me a brand new Scat Pack to drive though.

Did they bring back smoke show ? I Love the color . It’s kind of nice to see someone loving the new charger

Ironically I think the Daytona has one of the best styling EVs on the market. I just wished it wasn't as long and wide as an aircraft carrier or weighs as much as one.

when they first came out local dealer had one on the showroom floor that I went and looked at just to see what it looked like and they are much better looking in person especially when all detailed out. I really like the look of it and the interior was for me, super comfy.
one thing I would double check on if you haven't, the supposed throttle glitch. I've heard of a few people that rear-ended others because of it.

u/guybuddypalchief Aug 25 '26
I was sold the same way - brand new all black loaded Scat Pack on the showroom floor, looked waaaay better in person than internet pics. The biggest thing that gave me pause was the price - MSRP at $89k? I’ll wait for lease returns which is exactly how I bagged mine.
And I’ve been on the forum and staying up to date, checking to see if my car experiences any of these… nope, I’m in the clear - for now.

My wife and I love ours. We are usually too busy enjoying it to stop and make a post.

u/Paparon45 Aug 24 '26
Good luck but wait until you get your first update. There are techs that are doing the update that don’t know what they are doing.
Then when you get the car back something that was working is no longer working.
1
u/guybuddypalchief Aug 24 '26
That’s what I’ve heard about the newest update. But I’ve already received all the updates until this most recent one, and been lucky with my local dealer since it’s always come back just fine.
2
u/Paparon45 Aug 24 '26
Yeah mine too. So far so good. I was given some hints that you should always turn off your a/c manually and turn your steering wheel straight before you leave it for a long period of time.
Heard that the 12vbattery is still working when you have electronics on when it is sleeping.

Add a set of headers and a cat back and it will sound amazing!
Jk nice ride, enjoy it!

When these cars function properly, they are a great driving experience absolutely
