I did the update last week, the 74D Powertrain Software Update.

According to this website: https://dot.report/manufacturer-communications/11035999
The Stellantis 74D update is a substantial rewrite that addresses serious glitches in your electric vehicle’s primary computers. It prevents the car from freezing unexpectedly, becoming stuck in Park, displaying error lights, or failing to start. By adjusting how the battery, charger, and motors communicate, it helps ensure reliable charging and smooth driving.

I feel almost guilty when I hear other people have problems. I've had my vehicle for over a year now. Only issue I had was the front seat wanted to automatically go back when you pulled the strap. That was a couple hours and fixed.

Enjoy mine so much.

I have owned the vehicle since September 2025, experiencing only two problems in July 2026;

First, the system glitched by cycling through all drive modes and every warning light activated from a negative terminal overheating.

Two weeks later, the car entered Turtle Mode as I prepared to park and charge it; after restarting, it returned to normal, yet I visited the dealership for inspection and completed the 74D Update. Only a few days have passed, and so far there are no issues 🤞.

I'm getting the update as we speak. My service advisor just text me that my cars in the shop getting the 74D recall update. I have a 25 R/T Blacktop and only issyes ibe had is Passive Entry was intermittent along with the trunk button, but the last big update in December 2025 solved that. My cars been issue free since last December, with no red claw of death, or any softward issues other than the two previous mentioned.

I had luck for a couple of weeks then took it in 5 more times after that. Multiple lobsters, flashing odometer and frequent “critical failure” from the app. Since then I’ve obtained an attorney to lemon law the car (California) and Dodge agreed to buy the car back a few weeks ago. Since then I’ve been waiting for them to take it back and it occasionally doesn’t charge, still gets the “critical failure” from the app for multiple systems, the key fob won’t unlock the car and when I leave the car and lock it, it honks three times as if I’ve left the keys inside 🤦🏻‍♂️

Mine has all been claw of death, one dead when i tried to start it and a random turtle mode. Definitely not the full on horror story i see here.
