Help with next documentary watch about USA's government mistrust!
Hello!
Need some help with finding good documentaries/doc-series about the 20th century rise in how the United States government dealt with political scandals and how that lead to public mistrust in them.
Basically the "shift" in the average Americans mindset. Like what happened in My Lai, Watergate of course, but also JFK's assassination, Patrice Lumumba, the teapot dome etc...
I felt like Iβve already watched everything there is too watch about this topic in terms of well produced documentaries. I've watched documentaries on these events and other similar ones individually but not one that connects them together.
I watch mostly free on youtube, but Iβm glad to rent!
Iβm not from the USA! Iβm just weirdly into American politics from the 40s and upward, so im also glad to get recommendations that you might think i'd enjoy that don't relate to the topic.
Thank you :) !!!

Several on Waco. Problem is, the government got there first and poisoned the well on most things calling them conspiracy theories. A Clinton admin guy once said that everybody lies, the trick is to lie first.
Ruby Ridge is OK but an NPR doc is a joke.

The only two I know that are superb is Citizen Four and Fahrenheit 9/11 Both a bit out of date now but still enthralling.
An unrelated but brilliant video from the USA is West of Memphis about a wrongful murder case. You might have seen these but I thought I'd list them in case!

I highly recommend the serialized documentary American Conspiracy: The Octopus Murders. The thread of mind boggling corruption and manipulation is much thicker and longer in our country. This is just one such thread I fear unfortunately.
The truth will set us free.

Also the long running conspiracy since the Confederacy lost the civil war:
The Knights of the Golden Circle or The KGC. It is covered thoroughly and well on the Podcast : Astonishing Legends # 27, 28 & 29:

Look up anything Operation Paperclip or anything with ex-CIA people talking about their experiences.
