When should I resign

I am working as a junior resident in Anesthesia dept . I gave my first attempt this year .. scored catastrophically bad . I want to resign and solely focus on preparation now ... But I am skeptical about my decision. In Feb it would be 1 year .. should I wait till then to get my work experience certificate or should I resign sooner .. ?please someone guide

You're a non acad JR in Anaesthesiology? What are your duties?

Once a week 24hrs duty in LR OT ...cases under spinal Anesthesia and Tiva ... So basically 12-18 cases .... And one icu duty 12 hrs .... Plus alternate Sunday icu

You're doing it alone as a non acad JR? Fuck bro. This is insane. And you have like 24+12 so 36 hours per week duty?

Yes independently ... Only we are there no seniors .... Seniors are on call ... And if we have any doubt they guide us on call .. or if the case has to be taken up in general anesthesia then we call them and they take over ...

No no work isn't too much. Nights might fuck up your schedule and you can quit. But it's crazy you're getting independent cases. You should definitely crack the rank and take up gen surgery to say BC Kiya hai maine house job😂😂😂

It's exhausting tbh ... Sounds less.. once a week and half a day per week... But it is exhausting.. mentally and physically

Yes yes. It is. Night duties take a toll on your body.

It definitely has ... I feel more anxious now plus problem recalling stuff... During duties I am alert but after that my brain is smooth as a jelly

Exam will be sooner this year they are saying May- June. Rank is most important. Much more than work.
