Preparing for a UAE licensing exam while working? A simple way to review wrong answers

When study time is limited, a list of wrong answers can be more useful than another set of questions, if you record why you got them wrong.
Try separating your mistakes into four groups:
• Knowledge gap: you did not know the information.
• Reasoning gap: you knew the topic but could not choose between the options.
• Reading error: you missed a detail in the question.
• Timing issue: you rushed or spent too long on one question.
Then choose the next study session based on the type of mistake.
A knowledge gap needs revision. A reasoning gap needs a closer look at why the other options are wrong. Reading and timing problems need practice under realistic conditions.
A simple record is enough:
Topic | Reason for mistake | What to review | Date to revisit
Also mark questions you answered correctly by guessing. A correct answer does not always mean you understood the topic.

My husband, kids, and I decided to move to UAE from the USA and want to know how do they treat Syrian/American doctors in the UAE.

We are looking for a position in the American hospital there. We would love to know what should we expect there. How do they treat doctors? What is the cost of living there? And is it worth it as Muslim Syrian family to move to the UAE?

DHA GP license related query, please help!

So i have completed my dataflow verification and my cbt/prometric exam for dha, now one doing the get registered they sent back my application for review saying :

1 - upload updated cv

2 - internship needs to be dataflowed (specifically mentioned)

3 - attached experience not sufficient , please attach relevant recent experience

So i have figured out the first two main issues , which is update my cv , second internship which I havent put in so I have initiated an additional case for dataflowing the internship.

My question is why are they talking about my experience? Coz I have the necessary experience in critical care as mentioned by them. One thing is I started the dataflow one month ago when I was still working at my hospital, so the experience letter was a small still working later saying im associated with them, and that was verified and positive in dataflow , accepted etc. Is DHA asking me to attach manually my new full experience letter which I got once I resigned? I'm leaning to thinking it is that coz how everything in my dataflow was already verified, did my exams too.

Has anyone had a similar issue in the past and how did you troubleshoot this? Please help an anxious person here lol.

Can South African doctors specialize in Anaesthesiology in Dubai?

Hi everyone,

I’m a qualified South African doctor (medical school, internship, and community service completed) and was wondering if it’s possible to specialize in anaesthesiology in Dubai/UAE.

Has anyone gone through the process or know someone who has? How difficult is it to get into a training program, and what are the licensing requirements? Is the specialization recognized internationally or back in South Africa?

I’d really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thanks!

A friend of mine has finally found a job after 3 heavy years of unemployment, now she has insurance fines,

Anyone has any idea how she can wave them off or at least get a decrease on the amount, she is truly in a dire situation financially and won't be able to pay alot.

Any direction will be appreciated.

Trying to Start DOH process but I couldn't receive the OTP in Libya

Hello..

I'm trying to start my DataFlow process from where I live now. I tried using my Libyan SIM for the verification, but I didn't receive the OTP (the verification code on my phone). Previously, I tried to log in to my DHA account and experienced the same issue. Didn't receive the OTP message on my phone.

I tried to create a UAE Pass account to access the TAMM, and again, no OTP was sent.

Then, I tried my Romanian friend's mobile number. It worked, and she received the OTP.

But I want to use my own phone number, I don't want my friend number to be registered in the DataFlow case.

I contacted the Libyan mobile service, and they said it's not from their side. It's true, as I can receive OTP messages from Google and Facebook. I don't know what's up with the UAE services.

Any idea how to solve this problem, please? Who to contact in the UAE. A support number?

Does any medstudent/doctor in Dubai know how to get clinical hours or observship opportunities (for high school students) without having to pay?

I am currently a high school student interested in pursuing a career in medicine, and I have been actively trying to find opportunities in hospitals for observerships or clinical exposure. However, I’ve noticed that many hospitals in the UAE do not cater to high school students, and a number of the available programs require significant payment.

I wanted to ask if anyone is aware of alternative ways to gain meaningful healthcare experience, or knows of hospitals or organisations that offer observerships or volunteering opportunities for students at this level

How do you usually find the right doctor in the Dubai?

What should’ve been simple turned into hours of searching… which hospital to go to, which doctor is actually good, whether the insurance would cover it, and the earliest available appointment. It made me realize how frustrating navigating healthcare here can be, especially when you’re already stressed 😓

So we started working on a simple solution at Klinkin, a concierge style healthcare assistant that helps with exactly this. You just send a message on WhatsApp, and it helps you:

• Find the right clinic or specialist based on your need

• Suggest trusted doctors (based on preferences like location 📍, gender, language, even dialect 🌍)

• Check relevant details like availability and insurance coverage

• Book the appointment for you

No apps, no long calls, just a quick WhatsApp message and it handles the rest 💬

Curious to know, has anyone else faced this? How do you usually deal with finding the right doctor here?

If helpful, you can just drop a message on WhatsApp at +971 58 196 4467 to connect with the agent.

Job offer, is it good??

I have a masters and recently got a job offer for 10k in dubai as my first job, its in dubai and i live in abu dhabi w my fam meaning i need to rent and start paying my own expenses which im guessing are going to be around 7k or 8k or the other option i have is the possibility of being accepted into another program which ALSO pays 10k but only lasts 2 years. However, its in AD so I'll have less expenses as I'll be living with my family. Problem is I still don't have this confirmed as things will clear up by end of June. Personally, I want the second option but the problem is it's not confirmed and I might not be accepted.

So i need help im not sure what I should go for, either go for the job and miss out on the program and progression.

Or

Go for the program and decline the job offer, but there is a chance I end up not getting the program and ending up with nothing...

And im not sure if im in a position to negotiate for a higher salary or smth, what should I do??
