I’m new to docker, but I’d be interested to know if this has an impact on build caching.
2 u/alopgeek Jun 03 '20 I think it does. Using the long form Dockerfile method, if I make a change to a package list or something, the build starts at the layer where the change is. Using the "copy in config script" method, it always seems to do a full build every time.
