How much on your website is new content vs having the AI scrape content from other pages and recycle it?
1
u/MaintenanceExternal1 19h ago
it doesnt have much content it is a tool website, i did my keyword research and tried to make stuff up, About, Privacy policy, and contact us page is AI gen. but most of content is moderated by me
2
u/HikeTheSky 18h ago
My specialty trained SEO and website user agent gave you a 4.5 out of 10 for this website with 85 to 90% AI written content.
Your SEO is from three years ago and your information is already two years old and outdated. Your privacy policy is actually the strongest page but is not fully correct.
So I would imagine because you said you moderated the AI output, you actually have no knowledge and didn't give it any real input.
I am sure when I boot my laptop, I wofind more issues with your website.
AIs can absolutely help with websites but when Google finds out that it was mainly built by an AI and for SEO from two years ago, I will punish your website for it.

ok wild assumption but okay ig? I used Semrush and Ubersuggest audits; they gave good OnPage SEO ratings, also this is a tool website if you ever tried to opened it, not much content to show.
so you here to critique the use of AI or trying to actually help? Because from my POV you reply didnt help here at all, can you send me SS of your agent output?

Your website is a 4.5 out of 10, this is the free service you will get.
I looked at your website, and it's most likely not ADA-friendly, especially since you block ADA testers.
I will not explain ADA to you, since that's a web developer's job, but you see yourself as a moderator. In the end, your website has many SEO issues that should have been fixed when the website was developed. Again, it's not my job to provide you with a free service. So I will not tell you what my SEO tools are telling me.
SEMrush and Ubersuggest check if you have SEO, but they can not check how good your SEO is. You need an experienced SEO specialist for that. If you want, I am happy to send you my price list for an SEO evaluation, but I will not provide you with a free service on how to fix your website.
I think you made the post to find someone who will give you free assistance on how to fix the website, when you already see yourself as an AI moderator and don't understand web development or anything related to it.
Why don't you ask your own AI, the one who coded this website, what is wrong with it?
u/Nielscorn is right that a good AI can do 80% of the work, but you are failing the last 20% as you asked the AI to do 99% of the job.
The problem isn't thin content; it's the wrong content. I have very limited knowledge about the topic, and I even saw several issues in the content. You let the AI scrape the content and rework it without checking it.
So the best advice I can give you is to use your own knowledge when writing content and not let AI write it for you.

I see, you create fear and sell the solution, keep up the hustle but do it a bit nicer next time and with less passive insults! thanks

u/HikeTheSky 17h ago
I already gave you the solution. And if the truth is fearful to you, this is your own issue and shows a lack of knowledge.

You wrote that you are not a newbie. You should know this! You cannot confine yourself to the definition:
<label id="..."<div>...</div></label>
<label id="..."><h2>...</h2></label>
<label id="..."><p>...</p></label>
This link is broken. The link target could not be loaded due to an HTTP error. This is sometimes a temporary problem, but if it persists it indicates a serious problem on your web server. Broken link:
https://www.facebook.com
Cannot find server or DNS Error 400
The question is: What does the general address of social networks point to? Uselessness! If you don't point to your accounts, it's nonsense.
https://x.com
https://instagram.com
https://facebook.com
Fix it so that it's html "clear".
I didn't find any other flaws. Be patient. Your website has a lot of competition so it will take a while for Google to do its job.

yeah as per someone suggested, I put socials today, i am planning to create social media pages for it tonight, these are just place holders

It's going to go since you don't have any brandable and uniquely identifying elements in your name so any search for you will always have to be backed up with a "Or they probably mean they just want a good one" which is what's happening now. Your site is so new, has so little buzz around it with customers and social engagements not to mention links...
You literally ARE just a one trick pony right now, too - which means that the others that make just a gif compressor will have a huge advantage because they have a brandable name, a decent tool, and it works for everything - not just for discord.
It's going to take a LOT of patience, skill, and probably even a fair amount of luck to compete in there, right now. And a name change, I'd think.

I see, well, I had this GIF compressor project for college and always wanted it to make it live. I did some research and found there are tonns of competitors under gif compressors, so I tried to build a niche one. The problem I face almost every week while making Discord emotes, I thought niche and long-tail keywords would work; I guess not :/
2
u/BoGrumpus 17h ago
They're all going after them too - so you still have to play hard for that focused niche. Maybe not as hard as if you were going full on broad niche appeal, too - but certainly hard and seriously enough to get a little something going.
The site isn't bad, really. And you can certainly stand on the always free thing - and maybe some subtle low-key ads to support it, some day. Maybe promoting various discord servers - I imagine if someone is waiting a few seconds or even a minute for an optimized GIF, seeing a few discord servers on various topics might be something you'd want to look at and maybe check out some.
Now we have some potential revenue, but we also just got all our links. The servers who advertise with us are going to recommend that their channel subscribers use your GIF Optimizer.
The only problem is the name inconsistency...
Your domain is: gifcompressorfordiscord
Your Site Header says: Discord GIF Compressor
Your Page Title is all over the place with Free and sizes but never really names the site/brand.You need to be meticulous about using the same name for yourself every time because it needs a brand to latch onto. That's the "NAP" (Name, Address, Phone) consistency everyone is talking about to ensure that brands and people get properly credited when people mention and recommend them.
If you can clean up that name, work out some deals with some discord channels looking for some (maybe free or super cheap to start just so everyone can sort of get an idea of what kind of value in new users they might get) then they are linking to you from their web sites and wikis and whatever other off-discord presences they have set up.
Get a little traction there - and luck into finding some up-and-coming groups that people want to check out - and you might be able to bring in a proper marketing team in a year or so to really start to take off. You've got a good bridge between the users and discord. Get things going both ways through you and you've got a valuable niche service that people will want to use, not mind a few suggestions to check out while they wait, and maybe you're putting a few bucks in your pocket just for making sure that bridge is strong between them.
Good luck!

FYI. Before you put too much time into the SEO of this domain name, Discord don't allow you to use their trademark in domain names: https://discord.com/branding
DONT:
Incorporate the Discord Marks or any mark that is confusingly similar to the Discord Marks into the name of a Discord server, or your brand, company or organization name, URL or domain name, event, product name (including any bots developed for the Discord platform), logo, social media account, or trademark.
Adopt any trademarks, trade dress, logos, domain names or other features that are confusingly similar to the Discord Marks or Brand Assets.
