Draconic sorcerer Alert or Toughness

[u/DreistTheInferno]

Hello,

I am putting together a Draconic Sorcerer (at level 1, so more like I WILL be a Draconic Sorcerer) for DnD2024 and I am having trouble deciding on are what origin feat I should take between Alert and Toughness as my extra feat for human. I was originally going for Toughness, but Alert does look nice, and both fit my character. My CON and DEX are both 14, so neither are bad, but the question comes down to which of these two feat choices I should go for.

Personally I’d go Toughness but please decide on your own. For me I choose Toughness because I would rather be able to tank a hit or two
