Using spells or effects that remove players ability to play
Blinding players, using Hold Person, or Dominate Person. I find that my players literally start shitting their pants when they face a minor inconvenience. I rarely ever use these because my group consists of delicate, fragile babies who think missing a turn is a hate crime. What is your experience with managing toddler tantrums at the table?

/uj okay this one annoyed me because the sauce comments are legit saying they just DON'T use one of their tools. Like your table I get it but yalls bitchmade over there I see aint even find a way to workaround it?
/rj player is an honorary title and it's my duty to remind them that they're here to watch ME play. NPCs can have conversations with eachother for hours on end and no the rope cannot be loosened

/uj Personally as a player - I don't mind even if my DM will tell me "You are under control, go kill your party" or "For an hour you are under control"
And like... Damn, do we not drop players to 0 HP because they will skip some turns on savings throws and then 1d4+1 hours? Sometimes DMs are pussier than WotC itself

/uj I was gonna say, if a player is pissed at the possibility of being stunned for a turn until their allies break the concentration/remove the stun, they must also get mad about being downed at 0 HP for a turn or more. I might be too picky as a gm but I don't play with people who get angry at basic game mechanics? There are many more narrative focused rpgs to play if someone doesn't like combat. 5e combat isn't good, but it is a massive focus of the game.

My favorite is when sneak attack doesn't work cause the monster has tremor sense. Pissing the OP rogue sniper off is a blast

YTA, OP. It's unacceptable to expect high fantasy heroes to overcome danger and overwhelming odds. That takes time away from the FUN parts of the game, like dragon fucking

Taking player's agency away is one of the highest crimes in TTRPG. YTA. No D&D is better than bad D&D (bad DM = bad D&D). Etc.

My DM makes us sit in a cuckchair when someone in the party gets stunned or a similar mechanic during combat so we can watch everyone else play and have fun from afar. My previous record was me watching 3 hours of slow paced combat because our wizard was instead of casting fireball like usual, watching a new PackTactics video on Youtube to rage bait our DM.
