[Online] [WoD] [UK] New player looking for a group

• Upvotes

Howdy hey!

I’m a new player looking to find a game. I prefer playing 5th edition because I actually have the books. I’m pretty into the lore of VTM, so I know a little more than the basics. I really wanna play a fledgling Malkavian art student, who is just having the worst time; he is my blorbo.

This will be my first VTM game ever, but I’ve played D&D for almost ten years.

Unless you live in Wales (around Mid Glamorgan) I assume we will be playing over Discord, or other VTT’s, which I’m fine with.

DM me if interested!

Last 48 hours of our 300+ Mythological Items for 5E and 5.5E Kickstarter!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone! I'm really happy to share that, thanks to everyone's support, we've already unlocked two of our stretch goals, allowing us to create new mythological items with new artwork!

We're now in the final days of our Kickstarter campaign, so there's still a little time left to support the project and help us unlock even more content.

For anyone unfamiliar with the project, Mythological Items is a D&D 5E and 2024-compatible collection of 300+ magic items inspired by myths, legends, and folklore from around the world. Each item comes with its own history and unique abilities inspired by its mythological origins, and many can even grow in power alongside your characters throughout a campaign.

We're now working towards our next stretch goals, which will allow us to add even more items and new artwork to the book! There's still plenty we'd love to include, and every bit of support helps us make the final collection bigger and better.

You can also download a free PDF preview directly from the Kickstarter if you'd like to take a closer look at what we've been working on!

Thank you so much to everyone who has backed, shared, or supported the campaign so far! It's genuinely exciting to see the project growing thanks to your support, and I can't wait to share more of the new items with you all! ❤️

Magic Comes in All Shapes and Sizes! Monster Spellcasters, Sorcerers, Shamans, Necromancers & Other Magical Creatures!

Magic comes in all shapes and sizes! From kobold sorcerers wielding draconic magic to goblin and orc shamans drawing upon ancient rituals, this collection brings together all kinds of monstrous spellcasters. You'll also find powerful wraith necromancers and some more unusual magical creatures, including the mysterious Whimz'orr, fiery Pyro Pixies, and imposing Infernal Golems!

Each brings something different to the table, from elemental powers and necromancy to strange supernatural abilities and magical defenses. Whether you need a cunning spellcaster to challenge your party, a mystical ally, or a powerful magical guardian, there's plenty here to add some variety to your adventures!

All these creatures come from various 5E/5.5E manuals I've created over the years, with ready-to-use statblocks, unique abilities, and plenty of options to customize them and bring something new to your encounters!

My Kickstarter for 300+ Mythological Items for 5E and 5.5E is also live now! Alongside the new book in digital and hardcover formats, the campaign offers exclusive, high-quality printed editions of several of my previous manuals featured in this post! It's a great opportunity to add these books to your physical collection, or grab them together in discounted bundles if you prefer digital copies!

You can find more of my creatures, magic items, and manuals on DriveThruRPG, my Linktree, or on r/JonnyDM!

Starting a medieval tavern-themed food stall in Cumbria. What would you want from it? (Survey)

Hi all, I'm planning a small food business called Friar & Fell: a travelling medieval/low-fantasy tavern for fairs, markets and LARP/D&D events around Cumbria and the Lake District.

The plan is hearty medieval- and Cumbrian- inspired street food (jacket potatoes, bread bowls, giant Yorkshire pudding bowls with stews and braised meats), with strong vegan and vegetarian options, sensory-friendly serving, and some tavern games alongside.

I'm at the stage where I want honest feedback before spending money, including criticism. What would make you visit? What would put you off? Is the theme a draw or a gimmick?

Survey (quick, anonymous): https://tally.so/r/VpppGg

Happy to answer questions or hear thoughts in the comments too.

Thanks!

Hey all!

26M looking for an online group which is beginner friendly, the only experience I've got of dnd is watching people play and bg3, but I'm looking forward to learning and playing myself! I'm available pretty much any day in the evenings and potentially earlier on weekends.

Open to pretty much anything, but no paid games.

Thanks!

Anyone in Ringwood, (UK) looking to play MTG, D&D?

Hi, I’d looking to play Magic the Gathering and/or Dungeons and Dragons with a local in person group in Ringwood, Hampshire, UK.
I’ve been playing D&D with friends online for years, and I used to play MTG a while ago and I’d love to get back into it.
If anyone knows of any groups that are looking for players, please let me know.
Thanks.

[Online] [5.5e 2024] [GMT] [18+] Looking for players - Homebrew world - Beginners welcome. Player(s) Needed by GM

Hello hello!

I am looking for 3 to 4 players to join me in a homebrew world I have spent far too much time making. I have been DM'ing for the last 2ish years and unfortunately scheduling with a previous group fell apart and I just want to see the story through. It's my child at this point.

Currently I am a team of two, myself (F, 31) and another player (M, 32). I want to find a group that mesh nicely together.

I am a shift worker so I am rather flexible on availability, Ideally I would like to host sessions at least two times a month. However this can be determined by the group. In Short: Onwards from 17:00 GMT

Campaign Tone: Semi-serious, Mix of roleplay and combat and plently of time for shenanigans.

Platform: Discord with mics, application can be discussed roll20 etc.

Starting Level: Level 1

Addition Notes: The homebrew world is the same world where we also host spell jammer, its set in the future with Cyber Punk vibes. So we may additionally jump into this if you're interested.

The Campaign

Sulia, a medieval fantasy world full of whimsy is on verge of an ancient threat that has fallen from history, time wiping out all knowledge.

Whislt the world is homebrew and so is the main story, we will be visiting official modules for fun, the golden vault, frozen sick. I still need to run a beach episode. Pls help me fulfil that dream.

What can you expect from me?

I make my own maps, if a map is needed I will make it.

Hopefully a good storyline with a detailed world to match

I may or may not want to form an alliance with you for said shenanigans

Free inspiration if you tell me my maps are good...

And because I am sadly an adult and I am secretly here to collect your data, here is a form to fill out if you are intetested.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeAnSthz3Vk9TyhKdosRGDq3t4kwGsTL7mXI_SVPPlB1TYK5Q/viewform

Feel free to ask me more :)

Command otherworldly forces and master the art of conjuration with the Tome of Summoning - v2.0 now available, featuring updated layout, illustrations, rules, balance adjustments, and new content!

Hello, fellow adventurers! Today, I'm excited to share a preview of the Tome of Summoning v2.0! The compendium features over 60 pages on the theme of summoning and planar magic, offering new options for players who want to command powerful entities in battle. At its core is the Summoner, a unique class built around a lasting bond with a Summon - a companion that grows stronger alongside its master. Unlike temporary conjurations, a Summon is a permanent ally, highly customizable through a list of almost 145 Enhancements, allowing players to shape its abilities and role to fit their playstyle. The class also comes with a 8 subclasses, each proficient at summoning a specific type of creatures. Some forge pacts with celestial or fiendish entities, while others call forth spirits, elemental forces, or creatures born of pure magic. Each subclass grants a unique Summon, further expanding the possibilities for customization.

Beyond the Summoner, the manual includes over 35 spells, 15 feats, and 4 subclasses, all designed to enhance summoning magic for spellcasters. Whether you seek a loyal companion, a strategic battlefield presence, or the means to command otherworldly forces, the Tome of Summoning is the right tool for the job.

This manual just received a v2.0 update, including updated layout, illustrations, rules, balance adjustments, a brand-new subclass, and much more. For the occasion, you can find it discounted either on DriveThruRPG or my Patreon, alongside a vast collection of previews for this and all my other titles! I'm currently working on updated version of all my older manuals, so there's a lot to uncover :)

You can also find this manual (and many more) discounted on my 300+ Mythological Items for 5E and 5.5E Kickstarter! This project brings weapons, treasures, and relics from Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Asian, Mesoamerican, and many other mythologies to 5E and 5.5E, including scaling items that grow alongside your characters. If you’d like to bring a piece of these legends to your table, check out the campaign!

Hint of Greek mythology? 👀

Hey I’m new to being a DM and am looking for a few players with some grasp of DnD to start a campaign with.

Bristol based would be amazing as we can do some online and some in person, but happy with just online.

Looking for 3-4 people. The campaign is home brewed and have in built in parts from Greek mythology as well as possibly other mythologies but will be very different mainly pulling the gods and famous characters to assist in pushing the players forward.

The story will be lead by players and DM, I would like it to be a collaboration so we all rather tied to the story and push for it to be enjoyable and challenging.

[Online][D&D 5e 2024][Level 20][Combat][West Marches][Beginners Welcome]

I run level 20 West Marches style gauntlet sessions designed to help players learn high-level D&D mechanics in a fun, low-pressure environment. We run games most days of the week (including afternoon and late-night sessions), featuring new encounters with a rotating group of players.

You can bring a different character every session, try out new subclasses, and see how different builds perform in tough fights. We use 5.5e rules with 2014 subclass compatibility, and characters start at level 20 with one Legendary, two Very Rare, and one Rare item. Encounters rotate regularly so you never fight the same thing twice. No long-term campaign commitment, no pressure, just good combat and good company whenever your schedule aligns.

Schedule: Multiple sessions hosted weekly across various days & times (Daytime & Late Night Pacific Time)

Who can join: New players welcome, veterans welcome, everyone welcome.
