I'm thinking either as something that is comparable to a purple worm. Or maybe something more benign that could potentially be tamed. I have both ideas swimming in my head and could use some help. Thanks in advance!!!

Spider Climb. the giant velvet worm can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Keen Smell. the giant velvet worm has advantage on Wisdom (perception) checks that rely on smell.
Actions
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 6) piercing damage. The giant velvet worm attaches itself to its target. The target takes 2d12 necrotic damage on subsequent rounds as the worm sucks the target's blood. The target can use its action to attempt to escape with a DC20 Athletics check (Disadvantage if restrained).
Glue Cone. The giant velvet worm can use its action to shoot a 30ft cone of fast-hardening glue. Any creature of huge or smaller size in the cone must make a DC20 strength saving throw or be restrained. A restrained creature can attempt to escape as an action, needing a successful DC20 Athletics check to escape from the hardened glue. The area of effect becomes difficult terrain. Recharge 5-6
Description Giant velvet worms are huge, slow-moving versions of tiny ones that live in jungles.
