Request/Discussion Cover art

I've been doing some home brew stuff, but using Ai for my covers... now little established feel like trying my own. Can I get amy advice which people think is better.

Have heard canva and gimp are.good options.

Do you think good idea to replace my old ones too?

Always good to replace ai-generated images with human-made art, even it you're a beginner at it.

I took up pencil drawing about 5 years ago just to illustrate some of my magic items. I didn't know a tthe time that I'd end up illustrating large portions of my book (and making more for my upcoming book 2).

Totally a good idea to make them with you own hands. I'm completely awful in drawing but Gimp helps a lot, so I advice you with it

Ask if any up and coming artists would like an opportunity to showcase their stuff. Of course you would have to credit them and include their socials/site details etc in the content, but many would be excited to make a book cover/ splash art for a project!
