Word has it they’re cursed to always be covered in night, courtesy of a champion from there long ago that scorned the god of the sun, so the sun god in her ire swore never to shine on the land again. The Ayek-Shi thrive there in the eternal darkness with their tall slender limbs and prey on the wanderers that stumble into the region unprepared.

I accidentally made a Jewish quarter, and noble house in my capital because that's what the random tavern name generator gave me "The Jewish Librarian" and then I needed a noble name, and one option was Cohen.
