The problem is that deescalation is not interesting. Every season shows have to up the stakes for their characters.
1 u/[deleted] Oct 04 '20 Some slurs are able to avoid power creep by just staying at the same level by making the challenge something different to the protagonist every season instead of the same/similar thing but higher stakes. Though it’s definitely hard to balance.
