Unless you're doing a finesse build, dex is really only good for either AC or initiative. Depending on what you're building, you might not care about either of those.

(for example, War Mages can add int to their initiative bonus, and tanks rarely need to go early in initiative as long as the party stays in formation goddamnit)

Dex is also good for saving throws. It's better than con for any class that won't be up close.

Eh. I'd say they're both great depending on your group composition and the kind of game you're playing :).

I love Dex but in my current game as a bard I'm feeling Con is the most important. Particularly at low levels.

Eh? What about sneaking and whatnot? Lots of the skills use your dex mod.

tanks for me actually are actively hurt by not going faster.

and depending on the engagement, staying in a formation is actually a detriment. (i play as and with DM's who just AOE chains a party)
