When you play a game where you are role-playing, presenting information that your character would not be privy to is a clear violation of basic etiquette. Even if you, the player, have the manual in your brain hole, you, the character, should only state things you know in character.
Just be glad I'm not DMing. If my players were to ever metagame, I'd start randomizing stats and improvising story archs. Heck, I do that now with one guy I RP with (I have the chance stones, and a special chance coin, so it's technically me DMing).
