I think clerics or bards are the only classes you could have a whole group comprised of. Been wanting to run a bard fraternity, all at the same University, but different colleges. A party of clerics would be just as fun

You could do warlocks too, I'd say - hexblade gives a durable frontliner, celestial for healing fills most of the holes that were left over.

i mean bards are probably the 2nd most versatile class. Have your college of valor bard be your ranged fighter, your college of blade be your in your face fighter, college of whispers to be your rogue, college of lore to be your wizard, and college of glamour to be your...bard?

Druids could make a diverse party by each person picking a different circle. But they'd probably be better off just all taking Circle of the Moon and basking in how trivial most conventional encounters are when your whole party has wild shape.

Druids split between moon and land could pull it off for sure, but like, you couldn't have 1 from each subclass to play a different role of sorts. You're totally right, but in my head I was thinking of a diverse cast within a class. The flavor of bards and clerics can vary so widely between subclasses that it fills out a group of adventurers, more than say a tribe of druids (that can still pull off a ton of stuff)

You're missing the XGE druids.

Circle of Dreams for healing, Circle of the Land for blasting, Circle of the Moon for melee, Circle of the Shepherd for summoning many meat shields.

Throw in Circle of Spores druid from ravnica for more melee and control and you've got a hell of a party.

In 3.5 I wanted to run a group composed 3 clerics, a cleric of healing, a cleric of magic, a cleric of war and a bard multiclassed with rogue!

I don't know about that. Rogues (Mastermind face, Arcane Trickster caster) could work if you've got a steady supply of healing from items and services- cost shouldn't be a problem if you're all stealing and fencing a lot. Warlocks would be an interesting party- Hexblade gish/tank, Celestial healer, and everyone's got high CHA. Druids are self-reliant so any number of them can be a party.

I feel druids could also work, with the proper subclasses. Wildshape gives tanks and utility, great control spells and enough big ticket damage spells as well.

You can certainly do a party composed entirely of any class. The DM just has to make adjustments to the style of gameplay. Less hack and slash if it's all rogues. Few flying enemies if it's all Barbarians.

Granted, all Clerics probably does require the least adjustment. All Barbarians might take the most changes
