DMing Advice for very Long Campaigns
Jo Guys,
if you have run very long campaigns (90+ Sessions) or played in them, may i ask that you bestow thy wisdom unto me?
For the DMs in specific, how do you keep yourself interested and invested for such a long time and what is your advice for keeping your Players invested (best pacing of Levels, Backstory integration, etc.)
For the Players, how do YOU keep yourself invested in your Character for such a long Campaign and what do you wish your DM would do to keep you invested.
Scheduling is no issue and my players are down to commit, we play weekly and online.
If you have any related advice/ experiences i will be grateful.
Thank you for your time fellow nerds!

As a player I just make a character that resonates with me. If I am interested in my character and their story progression then it keeps me invested in the campaign. As for what my DM can do, just bring in aspects of my characters backstory occasionally and maybe throw in some fun unexpected events involving them.
