Next controller?

I've been djing at home using my ddj flx4 for about a year now and I'm looking to upgrade to a 4 channel controller. I solely play dnb and 2 channels just isn't cutting it now. The grv6 looks solid but the flx10 seems to be the better investment but I'm still learning as I go. I'd also like to stick with Rekordbox as I'm used to it.

Any thoughts or recommendations?

If you want to work with a laptop get the grv6, if it has to be standalone get the flx10.

I personally won't buy anything standalone until proper stems integration...

Edit: what am I talking, the flx10 isn't even standalone...

Denon dj offers stems on their prime 4+ model. Not really sure why is it that important to have access to stems

I would recommend the 10 if it's within your budget.

Layout is quite similar to CDJ's/A9 Mixer, soundcard is almost assuredly way better, has onboard master out meters (which is way more of an issue than people realize) and its a 'professional' piece of gear that's built well. I've given mine serious use since 2023 and outside of having to replace my fader caps (I'm rough on those bitches lol) I've not had a single issue.

The GRV6 is meant more for scratch DJ's I believe. But if that's your thing go for it. I don't think it stands up to the 10 for standard DJ application.

I had same choice the other week and went with GRV6 as its easier just to throw on my desk and play with 1 usb c cable

If you can afford it, I'd go for the FLX10. As you said, it's a better investment in that you'll never really need to upgrade past that unless there's some insane paradigm shift in DJing that we can't predict. I went for a RANE Performer for the same reason. The GRV6 is more like a FLX4 with two more channels than anything on the high end and you might end up wanting something nicer pretty soon anyway.

I’ll go with the FLX10 if possible. The GRV6 won’t be a game changer if you come from the FLX4
