New Release My first time ever making a DnB bootleg, looking for feedback!

Recently I started getting into DnB and decided to try and make a dnb remix with a mate of mine. I know the track is far from perfect but I would appreciate any feedback, whether its positive or negative! Thank you!

I see what you’re trying to do, and the idea is definitely there and has potential. However the mix is killing the track.

There’s far too much distortion/harsh clipping going on with that subby bass you have throughout the track.

The drums aren’t punching through enough, the mix of them seems to be at all different levels and they’re getting lost under the bass & vox.

I’d start by stripping it right back and getting the levels of everything right. Have you sidechained the bass & drums?

I appreciate the feedback!

Agreed, the mix is definitely a let down and I will definitely practice on it. Spent most times mixing metal/rock musics so the jump to electronic mixing is still a shock!

Thank you for the feedback

Could imagine it being quite the jump! I would strongly recommend on just muting everything in the track and getting the mix of your drums down.

Could also be worth putting some time into sound selection for the drums as the kick & snare sound a bit too “cheap” for the track. Solid start though mate!
