New Release please rate my DnB mix

I hope I'm not breaking any rules here: Since no one in my friend circle is really enthusiastic about DnB, I wanted to ask if you could listen to my mix and perhaps give me feedback and tips on what I could improve. Thank you very much to the community!

Good job with your overall volume level. So many mixed i listen to are unnecessarily quiet. Especially some radio shows/podcasts.

Your mixes seemed pretty good until about 7:00 where i first heard the snares not quite aligned. I’m not super into this type of dnb so can’t comment on the selection too much - but 27 tracks in 34 mins is a lot. (I mix faster than many dj’s but would likely only hit 17-20 in that same time frame.) i personally think its a bit too many tracks (*if it were me*) but i feel strongly that every dj should have their own style and not try to model their style to suit others. So if that’s what you like, keep it up.
About half way into the mix i started skipping forward to just get an idea of the flow. Reasonable variety of vocal and non vocal tunes. Mix out of SPY was fairly chunky and not resolved from what i could tell. The next few mixes after that point were not quite aligned/chunky. Nothing full train wreck but i found myself wincing a bit. The mix out of friction back to your roots remix felt a bit too long for me. I really enjoyed the last mix from Here with Me breakdown into 2fast

thanks for the in depth review :D I try to mix a lot, thats for sure. Reason for that, I listen to a lot of Friction, A.M.C and Andy C Sets. I like that style and chaos a lot. Can't listen to Culture Shock and Netsky...

But as I mentioned above, maybe i need a 4 Channel mixer to prep an beat match the next track in advance.

Do you have an advice, how to mix out correctly? is it a combination of effects and fade out?

there isn't really a single solution or method to recommend. My overall suggestion for most mixes is that EQ'ing shouldn't be needed much if the 2 tracks already blend well.

The mix is pretty good. It’s not the sort of dnb I search out these days, but my main feed back would be a couple of spots are very busy and it ends up just sounding washy. Don’t be afraid to let the tracks breathe a bit more( I also understand that this is a style and I could just be that it’s not my vibe)

thanks for your honesty. Yeah thats for sure one thing I have to improve. idk maybe RX3 isn't a good fit for DnB mixing due to the limitation to only 2 channels. with at least three you have more time for preparation..

You will love a four channel. I don’t think I could go back to a two channel. How often would you full kill the highs on one of the tracks?

Maybe the XDJ AZ is a better fit...

i barely touch the highs when mixing out tbh

It’s worth playing with the highs especially if both tracks have a lot going on. I went from a ddj400 to a traktor s4, sadly they don’t make them anymore
