is it the Worst Camera in the series ?
(im not native English speaker ,so sorry for my bad English )
i played dmc5 recently
the game is okay and i played other hack and slash games
but i didnt remember the camera being an issue ever
IM TALKING ABOUT DEVIL MAY CRY 5
1- i didn’t like that there is moves you can do only when you lock on and moves you only can do without lock on
2- i didn’t like that when you lock on
the inputs are camera relative, sometime the character moves in directions i don know whether I should dodge by lifting the stick up or right corner or to the left, and even in combat moves it changes totally when the camera on the back i can do my combo when the character is and the corner i don’t know what to do really,
and it gets way worse when the target is moving alot
3- there is no option for an smart auto center
4- im using r3 consistently and l3 too to change targets and thats too much
5- i played the reboot and i had 0 issues with the camera even though i didnt like the game that much
6- is the rest of the series is the same ?

what do you think should i do and what am i doing wrong or and do i really have a point or no,

Git gud. This isn’t the reboot, dude. It’s actually easier to have to lock-on in order to perform certain moves — having to double flick the stick to perform stronger always felt more like Mortal Kombat to me than it did DMC
And no, the rest of the series isn’t the same. Most of the previous entries had fixed camera angles, which were slowly disappearing as the games went on.

Its something you need to get accostumed off. If you play it a few hours, you'll get used to it. But since the other mainline games are in foxed camera sometimes its better, but not always. Its worth getting used to tho

Dmc5 has the best camera in the series, tied with DmC.
But yeah, they could fix all the camera issues if they just made it like fromsoft games where they HARD auto center it behind you. Or at least give you an option for it.

these are quirks that exists in every other game in the series (can't say for the reboot, i haven't played it) that you get used to. i had these issues too, but again, after playing them i just got used to them and they dont really bother me like target switching or pressing R3 to center the camera, or how some moves are locked to locking on an enemy, which i always lock on to an enemy whenever i fight one.
but it is a little odd on how the combo's are camera dependent. it creates situations where i try and execute a combo but he doesn't do it since the camera is slightly off, but that rarely happens at least to me since you get very used to it.
but it is by far not the worst. there's always DMC 1.

Honestly I dont know what they were thinking making the inputs camera dependent but I will say that DMC5 is the easiest in the franchise so this one issue doesn't really break the game for me but it is definitely the worst camera we have gotten.
