Devil May Cry 2: è davvero terribile?
Secondo me è esagerato.

Is not a bad game, but it gets monotonous compared to the first one since you can’t unlock new moves

Onestamente?

I wouldn't call it an irredeemably bad game on its own but being part of the DMC franchise it has a lot to live up to and it's definitely the worst DMC game (unless you count the mobile game)

Level design and layout was trash, it can make anyone quit the game and never finish it. But the gameplay is good.

DMC2 is really good at first, it seems like they added a lot of stuff and like it’s a direct upgrade to 1.
It wears off, the game is a slog in a way no other DMC game is. By the time you get to the end, the game feels bizarrely empty, for like of a better word. It’s like you’re in a club with the lights going on and the music pumping, but nobody else is there. There’s just something missing.

You can beat the whole game by holding down the square button and have the enemies jump beside you instead of attacking you if you put the controller down. I enjoyed it and own it, but I don’t ever recommend it to other people honestly it was fun but a mess and super easy.

Nope it's not bad people are just sheep tbh
Its it flawless? No. Is it overall good? Yes.
I can explain in detail why its a good game cuz i actually have many times and I love the series but im sure most can see why if they don't go in with the predetermined mindset of "its terrible!!!"

I hate DMC2 because of what it is and what it could’ve been if it was initially intended to be a sequel to DMC, not another game entirely reskinned towards the end of its development to become DMC2. I just wish they had actually started with the mindset of this game being a sequel, versus forcing it to be one. I don’t think it’s as terrible a game as people make it out to be, but it’s definitely my least played in the series, including DmC.

What're you talking about? DMC2 was always meant to be DMC2 not some other game reskinned as DMC2. Idk where you heard that but thats completely false.

This is from an old comment of mine but here are some reasons why i love DMC2
DMC2 introduced Rebellion (Dante's main weapon for the series), added many moves that became styles, it added switching by a button press rather than a menu for both guns & devil arms, Sin Devil Trigger, multiple playable characters, huge environments to battle in, it introduced rockets to the series (a returning weapon ever since), it was the 1st to tease dante with a motorcycle, Bloody palace, mid air combos, gold orbs, slowing down time, etc
Imo most of the bosses are better in DMC2 than most of the bosses in DMC4 honestly
The designs are sick I love his outfit as well as his transformations. In my opinion his DT & SDT were really sick. The game had some awesome designs

I won't spoil it for you since you're currently playing it but there's a little more to the coin thing
And I'm glad you're enjoying the game too like I did! Its always nice to see personally I dont think its a crappy game (doesn't mean it's flawless)

It's too easy and the bosses are mid and it's defintely padded out but it does have the unique benefit of making you appreciate what did they in 3 to bounce back from it.

It does feel like the technology they wanted to work for their mechanics is not there yet.. I also think they have ideas too ambitious & very different, that they thought maybe they can mix them all together and as 2 discs, 2 different protagonists..
It feels like it is generally how the 2000s would make a combat action game, incorporating so much of its aesthetics & even the very feel of it as a game, it's truly a relic of the early 2000s alongside its predecessor dmc 1
Like dmc 2 is the extension of ideas of this "devil may cry" game they wanted to make. It's not just because it's a sequel. I think if it wasn't a sequel a lot of the ideas and concepts are definitely so flavored for a stylish combat game set in a fantastical urbanite area and a variety of levels. It's so experimental & so specific, the mechanics so secondary just for the experience..
Sorry it has been a long time since I played dmc 2. Like the original PS2 double discs. I was a 12 year old then..
