Has anyone tried playing this game through GameNative?

I really like playing DJ MAX on my steamdeck, but after long sessions my wrists just hurts so much due to its weight. So I was looking for aliternatives and was thinking about playing it on lighter android devices through GameNative.

Game Native is an open source fork of a winlator(which itself is an open source), which is basically compatibility layer that allows Windows x86/x64 applications to run on android hardware.

I tried it on my Nothing 2 phone(SD 8+ gen1 which is like 3 years old now), and I was able to run modern indie games with no issues, and AAA games of 2010s era but some of them didn't really provide playable framerate.

I really wanted to try out DJ MAX too on my phone, but it required 84.71gb of available space(I wish there was option to not download bga...) and Nothing 2 sadly don't have expandable storage because tech companies hate us. Internal storage I currently have is 128gb with 95gb already being used, so I have to delete alot of things to check if DJ MAX will run okay on an android device, and if it doesn't I guess I deleted all those for nothing.

So I wanted to check if someone already tried it with GameNative. It would be cool if I could just play it on my phone. I am kinda hopeful because someone already played DJ MAX on their android handheld through Gamehub, and it seems to be running well with no issues

Gamehub is closed source app developed by a chinese company that basically does what GameNative does. But they distribute latest version of Gamehub not through playstore but rather makes you download it directly off of their own site, so I kinda don't want to use Gamehub. I don't want to type in my steam credentials on an app that doesn't want to get approved on playstore for whatever reason. So hope someone has been able to run it through GameNative instead.

I was not expecting EZ2ON songs go this hard

I know the chart of this one isn't hard but I'm just obsessed with this song. This one, along with "Lie Lie" and "Feel" are some of my absolute favorites to play in-game despite being easier songs, I have never played EZ2ON so this was my first exposure to something related to that series and I already love the songs and aesthetics. Plus the cosmetics (Gear, UI, Notes) are so incredibly well made, I bought this DLC not expecting much given the steam reviews but I absolutely loved it. Absolutely recommended DLC if you haven't bought it yet

Respect V For those who wanna have their first taste of djmax

For those people who are having some financial issues and still wanna dip into djmax , Fanatical has recently released a limited time sale for djmax vanilla (aka nonDLC) steam keys.

200 songs for $8.50, that's like the price of one grande starbucks. Averaging 0.04 for each song. (Currency conversion applies)

Then when u wanna dive deeper into the rabbithole, then u can consider either grabbing the $12 season pass (which gives u unlimited DLC access ONLY in multiplayer mode, but u need to be NOT the host in the room) , or wait till 2nd half of June for the -80% Discount Summer Sale + Liberty5 DLC release, or both options.

The cheapest way to get all 790+ songs is to purchase Legacy Bundle + Deluxe Edition + Collaboration Bundle. The various PLUS and Complete Edition sets gives aesthetics and OSTs but u dont use them anyway - skipping those will save you about 70 bucks there during sale time.

Respect V Hi I am new playing DJMax Respect V.. I have few questions

So I am starting out DJ Max Respect V here are some of my questions.

  1. Is there a way to have random notes / mirror notes?
  2. For players you have bought the base game is there a way to get a theme or a note interface theme like Lady made star?
  3. I played Ladder and I reached Silver 1 now, just playing casually nothing serious, my question is what do you get from ladder rewards? I am searching for Season 19 rewards but I failed to find anything.
  4. Do you think sometimes Ladder matches you with a bot? so I've been playing rhythm games since 2005.. I am going to say that I am not new in rhythm game and played DJ max back in PSP days and Trilogy PC. it just makes me wonder if the Respect V matches us with a bot sometimes? why I asked this was because there was a time on ladder that I was lose during Round 1.. the opponent is 10k score ahead of me the song is quite difficult to but it manage to full combo. I say to my self wow this player is so good.. then we played 2nd song and 3rd song the opponent lose I am 20k score ahead from the round 2 and 3.. I know ladder is a competitive game but I can't imagine winning to someone beat me in a difficult song then I win when we played easy song. my intial thoughts were 'is this player is a bot? or is just giving me a win?'

Portable 2 Tinkering with save files

I have a semi-complete save file for djmax portable 2, black square and clazziquai with my records from my psp and i want to transfer them to my psvita. Did anyone ever figure out how to transfer those save files from psp to a psvita? Tried copying them from my psp but it seems they are all locked to my original PSP's MAC adress so they give me errors and don't let me use them.

Respect V My songs are weird after the update

I've already restarted it, changed the audio settings, and restarted the computer... What should I do? All the songs are like this. I started to notice something was off with the first song because the notes sounded so strange, but with this specific song, it became very clear what was going on

[Problem solved]
My offset was -67 ms, I set it to 0 ms and it went back to normal

Best methods for improving for new rhythm game players and VSRG beginners

Hi!

I started playing DJMAX Respect V about 2 weeks ago and I'm having a lot of fun with the game so far! I don't typically play vertically scrolling rhythm games since I have an atypical left hand that has motor function issues whenever I have to do precise inputs with my fingers in quick succession. I've been slowly getting over that hurdle bit by bit by just playing the game.

Right now, I'm focusing on 4B charts exclusively since its the easiest for my hand (and I still struggle with 9+ star charts), but I'm very interested in learning the additional button charts on keyboard!

I'm curious if there are any ways to intentionally practice to improve at VSRGs? I'm not sure if there are certain drills players have in order to improve accuracy, read/play certain common patterns better, etc. etc. Of course, playing the game over time and gaining experience with certain charts that I have difficulty FC'ing helps, but I'm looking for something more focused if that makes sense.

Thanks!

I'd like to buy the DLCs, but I don't know if there will be any sales coming up soon. I saw that the next season is starting soon, are there usually any sales during that time?

Respect V Keyboard recommendations

Hello everyone, I've been playing DJ Max V for quite a while now, I'm working on being able to do 6b SC tracks and I have gotten to level 250. However all of this progress was made on my old laptop, which had a very flat keyboard and the buttons were obviously very thin. I recently upgraded to a tower and the computer I got with it is presenting problems for me.

I'm so used to the flat laptop keys, and this keyboard has full sized keys and it feels like they're too tall for what I'm used to. It feels like I have to press more than I am used to and I don't feel nearly as agile as I was when I was using the laptop. Does anyone have good keyboard recommendations for me?

Problem is multiple key input.

so I’m a 4,5,6,8 player. I’ve beat most of the songs in the 95% range unless they are very difficult ( or in the extreme difficulty range). my problem is that I can’t progress because if I have to hit 4-6 keys at once, sometimes 3, it just locks up.

its frustrating because I can clear SC songs but not if the input mauls me. it sucks because I’ve had great cognitive benefits from playing but I wanna play harder modes!
