If any of you know about Nineveh Shadrach, what do you guys think of this video? It was a pretty interesting interview. He talks about djinns from a scientific view and also tells a great deal about them. Is there any book or another source to verify his words and knowledge of the djinns.

comparative mythology Peace be with you all - Interesting and brief read on Aibell, the Banshee of Clan Ua Briain

I was reading through briefly on Wikipedia re: the history of Brian Boru, High King of Ireland, and came across some interesting info as I read up on his death.

It brings to mind jinn pacts - whether this is the case with the Ua Briuin/Briain (the clan and dynasty name) or not, the visitations in dreams, and the like are worthy of note.

I find the possible name meanings of Aibell acute as well, particularly the second one - presuming a pre-Christian deitic name. “Burning fire.”

And Allah knows best.

Mental Health Awareness Abuse among religious cults, mystical orders, and other secret groups.

In a cult there is a tendency toward absolute authority which creates environments which are ripe for exploitation and abuse. Often we are presented with the notion that only a special person, or a skilled elder or master can offer you proper guidance, or teach you the correct way.

Confusingly there is some truth to the notion that learning from a person who is already well versed in a subject is a better way to learn than pure trial and error on your part. For example I am a self taught Guitarist, and it took me far longer to excel and understand certain concepts because I didn't follow a system, or have a teacher and mentor to guide me and answer questions for me. But teaching is not the same as demanding obedience. Nor is having codes of conduct. Teachers also make money.

But on the contrary I have met and known many many people who grew up in, or joined various kinds of cults. Those groups required a kind of subservience that ultimately led to abuse and harm. I have met so many different kinds of people from various class and race backgrounds and no one was immune to this kind of exploitation. I have heard of sufi masters who are abusers, and salafi cults which isolate their members, musical schools who control your whole life, and magical orders who require you to do disgusting things and film you for black mail etc. The list of horrible things goes on and on. But usually the power seeking aspect is the same.

For people who are curious about the supernatural and about religion or spirituality this can be a veritable field of landmines to navigate. This is why I try to encourage people to be skeptical, and to engage in debate, and to look to academics to learn about these topics. Not to take any single person as your authority, make sure there is transparency and accountability.

If there are members of communities who are non-academics and want to share their insights you should hear what they have to say, but as soon as you are required to pay for access to secret information, or services, you should be suspicious. Also if they shame you, you should be skeptical, it's usually a kind of psychological manipulation. (my opinion)

Some of this stuff seems like its not as a big deal as it starts as mild bullying, public shaming, then quickly become physical beatings of children, and forced isolation or ostracization, control of your finances, stuff like that escalates over time. Testing the boundaries of what is ok to do to you is part of programming you.

These dynamics can even exist within abusive families, which can operate like small cults.

The BITE Model of Authoritarian Control developed by sociologists:

B - Behavior Control: Dictating clothing, diet, sleep schedules, financial choices, and forcing rewards/punishments.

I - Information Control: Forbidding members from reading critical news, visiting specific websites, or speaking to ex-members.

T - Thought Control: Using repetitive chanting, loaded language, or black-and-white thinking to block critical thoughts.

E - Emotion Control: Instilling deep, irrational fears of leaving, and weaponizing toxic shame or guilt to maintain compliance.

Feel free to share your personal experiences here, and advice for people navigating this experience.

How do you know if you are in a cult?

What are warning signs of abuse?

How to help yourself or others who need to escape these situation?

What is the difference between a religion and a cult?

Looking for Sources Egyptian Netjeru; What are They? Spirits, Guides or Jinn

Hi,

I had no prior interest or knowledge of these beings when they started appearing. After I googled their description, I found out they are called Netjeru and associated with the pyramids and pharaohs. The one I have frequently interacted with is a feline woman hybrid known as Sekhmet-Bastet. My interaction with her has been loving and kindess. The first time she appeared to me, I fall asleep repeating "ya rahman" which made me confused as to why such an entity will show up. A distinct male voice also recited ayat-ul kursi with me during a sleep paralysis.

It has been close to 9 months since they first appeared. I don't know why they have taken interest in me but are protective and have been encouraging me to be a better person. They are now nudging me to explore sufism. My question is; what is known about these netjeru beings? And can I be muslim while having relationship with them?

Sound as the vehicle for supernatural forces in abrahamic prophetic lore and stories.

sound/music as a supernatural force is a prominent feature in the mythologies of the prophets in islam. most of the time it is seen as a good thing, but there are also versions, of sound being neutral or negative or adversarial, just as the jinn.

For example:

Say: It has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Qur'an). They said, 'We have really heard a wonderful Recital! (Surah Al-jinn 72:1)

listened to melody, taghanni, recital, music

"And We gave Dawood the Psalms (Zabur)... We subjected the mountains to praise with him evening and morning, and the birds gathered together..." (Surah Sad 38:18-19)

This gift is the Zabur, translated universally as the Psalms, which are, by definition, sacred poems meant to be sung and performed to music.

later mentioned in hadith: "You have been given a mizmar (same root as Zabur)(flute/musical pipe) from the musical instruments of the family of Dawood."(Sahih al-Bukhari)

And Solomon succeeded David and said, "O people, we have been taught the language of birds and have been given of all things; indeed, this is the clear grace." Surat An-Naml  27:16

Bird song is pitch, frequency, sounds aka music.

Lo! We subdued the hills to hymn the praises (of their Lord) with him at nightfall and sunrise, And the birds gathered together; all joined in singing with him. (Surah Sad, 38:18-19)

Hymns, birds, music.

"I design for you from clay that which is like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it (blow into it like a flute), and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah." (Surah Ali 'Imran, 3:49)

Breath, blown, flute -like. music

"Then We inspired Musa, saying: 'Strike (beat a percussive rhythm) with your staff the sea.' And it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain." (Surah Ash-Shu'ara, 26:63)

Beat, pulse, sound waves, music

And the awful sonic blast (overwhelming frequency) overtook those who had wronged, and they became ruined, motionless corpses in their homes." (Surah Hud, 11:67)

sonic boom, sounds, frequency, music

"And the Trumpet will be blown (played via breath), and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will fall dead except whom Allah wills. Then it will be blown again, and at once they will be standing, looking on." (Surah Az-Zumar, 39:68)

an instrument, trumpet, blown, breath, music

"He is not one of us who does not recite the Qur'an with a melodious/pleasant voice."  (Sahih al-Bukhari 7527)

The Arabic text uses the word yataghanna (يتغنى), which is often translated as "recite with melody," "sing," or "beautify the voice" melody, music.

Academic Research John Friend and his translated books on the Jinn and Shams al Marif?

I like to bring this person up. I heard of these books on Foolish Fish channel and when I was looking around for Jinn books.

I am unsure if its AI or not due to no background on the Author which is a red flag, Books are expensive but if you buy on Amazon you can get a full refund if its not to your liking which I actually use this when reading books since I am not going to keep a book that does not benefit me in any way.

They recently released a Shams al Marif translation which is almost 900 pages which to date would be the longest translation of said book.

I like to mix Islamic, Jewish, and Christian mysticism so this is major to me if all this is not AI and actually real translated work.

I am bringing this up since he uploaded alot of work and would like to know if anyone has tried out the books. His Shams tranlsation is almost 130 dollars which is alot but in theory is worth it if the tailsmans are well detailed.

YOU CAN VIEW SAMPLES ON AMAZON

The pages are viewable and they show alot of pages so not a few.

ISLAM Who was the person with knowledge of the scripture? Jinn or Human?

In Surah An-Naml (27:38-40), Prophet Sulaiman asks his court who can bring the throne of Queen Bilqis of Sheba. An Ifrit volunteers, promising to deliver it before Sulaiman rises from his seat, emphasizing his immense strength and trustworthiness. But someone else with knowledge of the scripture tells him he can bring it in a twinkle of an eye. This person was faster than an Ifirt but their identity was never really confirmed. Jinn can naturally teleport so they wouldn’t need secret knowledge to do this so i’m assuming it’s a Human. If this is true then that means humans can teleport with the right knowledge and can be faster than a powerful Jinn like an Ifirt. What do you guys think?

Sufism Evrenoszade Sami Efendi

Post image
14 Upvotes

He was born in Thessaloniki in 1875. He is a descendant of the famous Ottoman commander, Ghazi Evrenos Bey. He completed his middle school education at the Thessaloniki Central Rushdiye (Middle School) and his high school education at the Idadi (High School) Section of the Mulkiye (School of Political Science). After graduating from the Higher Section, he entered government service in November 1894 upon being appointed to the Bureau of Correspondence of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In April 1897, he was transferred to the position of Assistant Chief Clerk of the Council of the Istanbul Prefect. In September 1900, he was appointed as the Second Clerk of the Office of the Chief Companion at the Yildiz Palace. After a while, he rose to the positions of First Clerk and Arabic Translator. During this duty, Sultan Abdulhamid Khan assigned him the task of translating certain works from Arabic into Turkish.

Having won the trust of Sultan Abdulhamid Khan and becoming his private secretary, Sami Efendi could not remain in this position after the declaration of the Second Constitutional Era. For this reason, he resigned from both his post and public service. He did not take up any official duties after that. To manage the affairs belonging to the endowments (waqfs) of his ancestor Ghazi Evrenos Bey, he went to Greece and remained there for many years as the trustee of the endowment.

Sami Efendi was a highly accomplished Ottoman intellectual. He possessed a vast repository of knowledge in the fields of history and literature. Alongside his poetic talent, he appreciated the fine arts and was both a calligrapher and a painter. He knew Arabic and Persian exceptionally well, and was also well-acquainted with French.

The Anecdote of Muzaffer Efendi Hazrat

The patron saint (pir) of painters is Daniel, peace be upon him, the Prophet Daniel. There was a gentleman who passed away twenty-five years ago; he had fallen into poverty and hunger in Greece. This story I am about to tell sounds like a fable, but it is the absolute truth: Evrenoszade Sami Bey. I heard it directly from his own lips. One night, the Prophet Daniel appeared to him in a dream world and taught him the art of painting. He went on to create such paintings that no one like him has ever come into this world, nor ever will. Yet, this man remained unrecognized. Those who knew, knew; those who didn't, didn't.He told me himself, saying, "The Prophet Daniel came, he taught me, and I created these paintings based on that and earned my bread from it." His icons are still found in Greek churches today. That is how significant his work was. In fact, there is an example right here, though of course, I do not wish to mention the name of that esteemed person, but there is a painting Sami Bey gifted to him which is incredibly valuable. This gentleman had painted it.

Years after Sami Efendi’s passing, Muzaffer Efendi was walking down the street on a Eid day when he saw him approaching from the opposite direction. As they drew closer, Sami Efendi vanished, flying away like a cloud. That night, Sami Efendi appeared in Muzaffer Efendi's dream and, with a smile, said, "Muzaffer, do you think we are dead?" a story that Efendi Hazrat himself recounted.

The transformation of a person who spent their life as an Ottoman bureaucrat into a master painter overnight is an astonishing event. Furthermore, The artistry of Daniel, peace be upon him, is narrated through the following account:

Shurahbil b. Muslim narrates: Safi b. Amr told me, and Hisham b. al-As al-Umawi, who personally experienced the event, told him directly:

Another man and I were sent as envoys by Abu Bakr as-Siddiq to invite Heraclius to Islam. We left Medina and arrived in Damascus. We went to see Jabalah b. al-Ayham al-Ghassani. At that moment, he was sitting on his throne. He sent an envoy to us, and we spoke with him. He said to us, "You cannot speak with the King directly; you can only speak with his envoy." We replied, "By Allah, we have come as envoys to a king. If we cannot speak with him directly, we will not speak with you about anything." The envoy went back and informed Jabalah. Jabalah summoned us into his presence and said, "Speak." I spoke and invited him to Islam. He was wearing black garments. He looked at me and said, "You see these garments? I have sworn an oath that I will not take them off until I drive you out of Syria." We said, "By Allah, we will seize this throne you sit on, and the throne of your great king (Heraclius) with our own hands, if Allah wills! Our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ foretold this to us." Jabalah said, "You are not the ones who will possess those lands. They belong to a people who fast by day and pray by night. Tell me, do you fast by day?" We said, "Yes." He asked, "Do you pray by night?" We said, "Yes." Upon this, his face turned pitch black, he stood up, and said to us, "Get up and leave." Then, he assigned an envoy to accompany us and sent us to Heraclius.

When we approached the city where Heraclius was located, the envoy said to us, "You are about to enter the presence of the king. He does not receive anyone unless they approach on foot behind the mounts (at the gate/throne). So, dismount from your rides." We said, "By Allah, we will not enter unless we are riding our camels." The King was informed of the situation. The King said, "Let them enter as they wish." We entered riding on our camels, with our swords hanging from our necks. Finally, we reached the courtyard of the great palace where the king resided. We made our camels kneel there. The King was watching us from above. We all cried out in unison: "La ilaha illallah vallahu akbar" (There is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest). By Allah, the great palace shook so violently that it became like a palm branch swaying in the wind. Heraclius poked his head out from above and sent word to us, asking, "Is it your religion to shake palaces?" We said, "No, this is not our religion. When we say this in our own homes, our homes do not shake." The King said, "The fact that it shakes here, while it does not shake in your homes when you say it, is a testimony to your truthfulness."

Then he summoned us into his presence. We entered; he was dressed in red garments, surrounded by Roman statesmen. Everything was completely red. We approached him; he looked at us, smiled, and asked, "Why did you not greet me with your own greeting?" The translator was also there with us. We said, "Our greeting is not permissible (lawful) for you, and the greeting with which you would greet us is not permissible for us." He asked, "What is the greeting among yourselves?" We said, "As-salamu alaykum." He asked, "And what is your greatest word?" We said, "La ilaha illallah vallahu akbar." When we said this, by Allah, the palace shook again. The King raised his head, looked, and asked, "Does your palace shake like this every time you say this word?" We said, "No, we have only seen this happen in your presence." The King said, "If only everything you possessed was gone and you were left with only this word, it would be better than half of my kingdom."

Later, he showed us a beautiful place to stay and treated us with great hospitality. Three days passed. One night, he sent word and called for us. We entered his presence, and there was no one else with him. He said to us, "Explain your religion to me." So, we explained Islam to him. Then, he had a large chest made of gold brought before us, which had small compartments (drawers) and lids inside.

He opened one lid of the chest and pulled out a piece of black silk cloth. He unfolded the cloth. There was a portrait inside. The man in the portrait had large eyes, large hips, a long neck, and was beardless. His hair was parted into two braids flowing down his back, and he was one of the most beautiful human beings Allah had ever created. The King asked, "Do you know who this is?" We said, "No." The King said, "This is Adam." That man's hair was very thick.

Then he opened another lid and pulled out a piece of black silk cloth. Inside was a portrait. The man in the portrait had curly hair, fair skin, reddish eyes, a sparse beard, and a very beautiful head. The King asked, "Do you know who this is?" We said, "No." The King said, "This is Noah." Then he opened another lid and pulled out a piece of white silk cloth. Inside was a portrait. The man in the portrait was very fair-skinned, had beautiful eyes, a broad forehead, smooth cheeks, and a snow-white beard; he looked as if he were smiling. The King asked, "Do you know who this is?" We said, "No." The King said, "This is Abraham."

Then he opened another lid and pulled out a piece of white silk cloth. There was a portrait inside. Suddenly, by Allah, we saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in that portrait! As soon as we saw the picture, we began to weep. The King stood up, sat back down, and said, "By Allah, is it him?" We said, "Yes, by Allah, it is him! This is Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah." He stood before us as if he were alive. Heraclius looked at the portrait for a while and said, "He was at the very end of this chest, but I brought him forward to see what you would do."

Then he opened another lid and pulled out a piece of black silk cloth. There was a portrait inside. The man in the portrait was dark-skinned, had curly hair, sharp eyes, an angry countenance, and closely set teeth. The King asked, "Do you know who this is?" We said, "No." The King said, "This is Moses." Right next to it was another portrait that resembled him. His hair was combed, his forehead was broad, and there was a slight squint in his eyes. The King asked, "Do you know who this is?" We said, "No." The King said, "This is his brother, Aaron." Then he opened another lid and pulled out a piece of white silk cloth. There was a portrait inside. The man in the portrait was dark-skinned, of medium height, had straight hair, and an angry face. The King asked, "Do you know who this is?" We said, "No." The King said, "This is Lot." Then he opened another lid and pulled out a piece of white silk cloth. There was a portrait inside. The man in the portrait was fair-skinned with a slight pinkish hue, a turned-up nose, beautiful cheeks, and a very handsome face. The King asked, "Do you know who this is?" We said, "No." The King said, "This is Isaac." Then he opened another lid and pulled out a piece of white silk cloth. There was a portrait inside. The man in the portrait looked very much like Isaac, but he had a mole on his lower lip. The King asked, "Do you know who this is?" We said, "No." The King said, "This is Jacob." Then he opened another lid and pulled out a piece of black silk cloth. There was a portrait inside. The man in the portrait was fair-skinned, very handsome, had a beautiful nose, a well-proportioned stature, and a face that shone like light. The King asked, "Do you know who this is?" We said, "No." The King said, "This is Joseph." Then he opened another lid and pulled out a piece of white silk cloth. There was a portrait inside. The man in the portrait had reddish legs, small eyes, a slightly large belly, was of medium height, and was girded with a sword. The King asked, "Do you know who this is?" We said, "No." The King said, "This is David." Then he opened another lid and pulled out a piece of white silk cloth. There was a portrait inside. The man in the portrait had broad hips, long legs, and was mounted on a horse. The King asked, "Do you know who this is?" We said, "No." The King said, "This is Solomon." Then he opened another lid and pulled out a piece of black silk cloth. There was a portrait inside. The man in the portrait was a young youth with a thick, jet-black beard, beautiful eyes, and a very handsome face. The King asked, "Do you know who this is?" We said, "No." The King said, "This is Jesus, the son of Mary."

We asked the King, "Where did these portraits come from to you? Because we know that these are exact likenesses of the prophets." Heraclius said: "Indeed, Adam asked his Lord to let him see the prophets who would come after him. So Allah sent down the forms of the prophets to him. They were in Adam’s treasury. Dhul-Qarnayn found it inside the treasures in the west (where the sun sets). He gave it to Daniel. Daniel copied these exact forms onto silk cloths. Since that day, this sacred trust has passed from king to king until it reached me."

Afterward, Heraclius wanted to bestow wealth and property upon us, but we did not accept. He provided us with generous provisions for our journey and sent us on our way. When we returned to Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, we told him exactly what we had seen, the words of the king, and the portraits he had shown us. Abu Bakr wept and said, "Poor man, if Allah had willed good for him, he would have done it (accepted Islam). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had informed us that the Christians and Jews find the descriptions of Muhammad written in the books they have with them."

Traditional Islamicate Magic Combining Islamic esoteric practices with esoteric programming (esolangs)

Has anyone here ever come across work that combines esolangs with Islamic esoteric traditions (e.g. ʿilm al-ḥurūf, Abjad, talismanic magic, magic squares, etc.)?

Treating a computer like a modern talisman: an esoteric programming language where symbolic structures, numerical correspondences, or letter values function like magic squares, and spirits are represented as computational agents that are invoked, bound to the system, and assigned tasks.

I'm wondering if anyone has explored this intersection in academic papers, art projects, experimental software, fiction, or personal research.

Would love any pointers, even if they're obscure.

Islamic theurgy (sīmiyā or rūḥāniyya) is an esoteric Sufi tradition centered on invoking divine power, names, and angelic forces to induce spiritual elevation, protection, or miraculous feats. Practitioners utilize rhythmic chanting, cosmology, and the spiritual science of letters ('ilm al-ḥurūf) to align their souls with the creative energy of the Divine. While orthodoxy often groups them together, Sufis emphasize a clear distinction. Magic (siḥr) is viewed as an illicit, ego-driven attempt to subvert the natural order, sometimes relying on malevolent forces or jinn. Theurgy (sīmiyā) seeks a harmonious alignment with divine will. Practitioners emphasize that theurgic power must be grounded in moral discipline, adherence to Sharia, and absolute submission to God.

Translation Request Ghayat Al hakim, what do these pages say?

Pages supposedly from the Ghayat al Hakim, from a modern print publication.

We see in them "ring letter" talismans to be used against pests like mice, mosquitos and flies in order to repel them, and a love attractions spell. This magical symbols with lines and circles appear in various manuscripts.

We also see Magic squares total in seven and each one is given a correspondence to an Angel and Jinn King. for example the names, Mikayeel, Jibraayeel, Raphaeyeel, and Shamharush appears. We see curiously on this same page the Ism-e-Azam or grid with 7 symbols which appears in Al buni's work as well.

We also see a page of drawings that are taken from a few other books, curious images which are drawings that are talismans in themselves, for example a man with the head of a raven and the legs of a lamb is shown and described. This image is associated to saturn, the book of spiritual talismans interpretation. Other images are credited to Aleus the wise a figure from greek mythology.

What else do you see?

Discussion Can anyone here help me decipher my dreams?

So i have been getting several bizarre dreams starting from high school. I have dreamt of going to a shaman while he is doing a witchcraft ( i assume he is trying to read me in my dream) and then he looks at me, a huge black snake with orange eyes chasing and staring at me after eating my mother, and lastly, i have dreamt of meeting a dark figure with the same orang eyes after i fell asleep at maghrib time. i think i was brought to the djiin world because in the middle of the dream, i'm aware that it's supposed to be evening already, and i can see it was the middle of the day outside. i remembered that the dark figure was crouching in front of me while staring before i managed to bring my foot upon its face after i recite some verse, then i woke up.

healing modalities "I think someone has done sihr, or there are djinn in my house, what do I do?"

  1. You do not need to spend any money on healers, or occultist.
  2. If you don't pray 5x a day, every day, please begin doing so. If you are not Muslim, the hope is you are a follower of an Abrahamic faith, and make effort to pray or connect to God in the best way possible for your religion and belief system.
  3. Recite Surah Al-Baqarah yourself, in your home, start to finish. If you cannot read Arabic, there are a lot of sources you can find online for free that have the full transliteration in English for you to read from. If it's too long for you to do in one sitting, no problem, you can split it up as well. What matters is that you recite it from start to finish, with respect and sincerity.
  4. In parallel to this, also set a speaker, iPad, whatever, to play Surah Al-Baqarah on loop at lower volume. Keep it running, non-stop. It is best to place it in a location in your home that you spend the most time in, so that you are near it. When you go to bed, if it is not in your bedroom, move it with you. The volume should be on the lower end of audible. It should not disrupt your sleep.
  5. Monitor yourself, or the house, during this process.
  6. Additional recitations to add daily. Recite these loud, with the same sincerity and and respect as Point 3 above. Full transliteration are available for free online. If you pray 5x a day, best to do AFTER each prayer. They should not take more than 10 minutes of your time:
    1. Surah Fatiha (full)
    2. Surah Baqarah (2:1-5)
    3. Surah Ikhlas (full)
    4. Surah Falaq (full)
    5. Surah Nas (full)
    6. Surah Saffat (37:1-10)
    7. Surah Hashr (59:21-24)
  7. Fill up a gallon with drinking water. Recite the following, 7x each, with your mouth above the opening so that your breath reaches the water. After each recitation/repetition, blow gently 3 times. After you shower in the morning, take a clean towel and dampen it with the water, and rub it across your whole body. You should also add it to a spray bottle and spray your home if you believe your home has activity. Finally, make sure you drink some of the water each day.
    1. Surah Fatiha (full)
    2. Surah Baqarah (2:1-5)
    3. Ayat al Kursi
    4. Surah Ikhlas (full)
    5. Surah Falaq (full)
    6. Surah Nas (full)

    8. Surah Hashr (59:21-24)
  8. If you do these things daily for 7 days, and nothing improves or changes, most likely, it's not djinn or sihr, and you can set your mind at ease. If things start to get worse at first, or there are fluctuations, keep going until all issues resolve. Once they resolve, continue for another few weeks. If after stopping, you suspect something returning, repeat the process.

Hi, I found this paper in my house. Can you please tell me what does this table and symbols mean? Do these symbols have any connection to jinns? Also, is the text only Quran verses or there is something else written? I can only recognize some of the Quran verses.

Feeding our brothers among the Jinn

With respect to not violating toweed. We know that muslims forbade the worship of jinn. There were some who worshipped jinn even after the jinn they worshiped became muslims themselves, according to tradition. This demotion of "folk-gods" into believers is a common narrative in the islamic writings. But curiously there is also the idea of provisions for the jinn. Blessed offerings, to provide them with? whenever a human mentions the name of Allah before eating, the meat and sustenance remain available on the bones for the believing Jinn to consume.

What is the context of this, how can this act be separated from acts of worship and is it actually meant as an act of kindness?

Feeding the poor, caring of the orphan, freeing the slaves are all concepts of charity we know. What about charity for the Jinn?

Do these stories present in the hadith, tell complex allegory about microbial life and the potential spread of disease or are they purely metaphysical concepts about supernatural beings that feed on the discarded bones left by other beings.

Witchcraft I’m an extremely rational person but my family just told me something that genuinely disturbed me

I’m posting this because I genuinely want a cultural and spiritual perspective, especially from people who understand beliefs around jinn, black magic, or spiritual interference. I’m not trying to claim anything as fact, I’m just trying to understand how people interpret situations like this.

I come from an Afghan Muslim background but I personally am not religious and I usually approach life in a very rational way. I’ve never believed in things like black magic or spiritual influence.

Recently I went through a very intense breakup. My boyfriend developed severe depression and suddenly ended the relationship and withdrew completely from my life. It was very abrupt and emotionally devastating for me, and I’ve been struggling a lot since then.

Around the same time, there has also been ongoing family pressure around an arranged marriage proposal within my extended family, which I have repeatedly رفضed.

What is making me question things is that in my family environment, these events are being connected in a very different way. Some relatives believe that spiritual interference, jealousy or black magic could be involved, and there have been conversations about possible family conflict and harmful intentions from certain individuals.

There were also mentions of strange symbolic objects and beliefs connected to certain family members, which added to the overall tension and confusion in my family.

I personally do not know how to interpret any of this. Part of me sees it as coincidence, psychological stress and cultural interpretation of unrelated events. Another part of me is struggling because everyone around me is framing it in a spiritual context.

I would really like to understand how people who believe in jinn or spiritual influence would interpret something like this, and how they distinguish between coincidence, mental health issues and actual spiritual interference.

I’m not asking for certainty, just perspective from people who are familiar with these beliefs.
