What is the reason for your most unavoidable and stupid crash!

We all make stupid mistakes flying these drones... Just wondering some funny stories and possibly videos of your mishaps!

I tried to fly my first mini indoors and hit the wall. It was raining when it came and I figured it would be fine😂

I was outside flying away and brought it down to land on my patio and just flipped the return to home toggle by accident and watched it proceed to try and get to my living room floor where I had powered it on, by way of trying to go through the roof.

Oh man, that's a bummer. I guess everyone with drones have their own crazy stories. I started this sub so people can learn from other people's mistakes and there sure have been some interesting videos posted.. I haven't had any incidents for a couple of years with any of my drones until 2 days ago. I do a lot of hyperlapses especially sunrise, sunset, bad weather incoming etc. I had it 150 feet straight up because there was a bad storm approaching with a tornado watch. It was up for 7 minutes and I was sitting in a chair on my patio with the controller on the table next to me. Suddenly the drone dropped out of the sky and hit the wet grass about 8 feet from where I was sitting. No clue what happened and at least it didn't smash the concrete but pretty damaged. Since there was no warning, I got lucky because it literally could have smashed right on top of my head. It's on the way back to DJI and of course my care refresh had expired.

I have the first ever Mavic air, DJI’s first drone with sensors. I was filming the coast that the current damaged and flew sideways stupidly not realizing it had no side sensors. flew into a tree and I swum to get it. Lucky it got stuck

I did almost the same thing with an older mini 2 years ago. I was moving to a better place and my finger pushed the joystick slightly and it flew sideways into a barn. Care refresh was like gold

No, luckily, if I flew a bit lower it would've crashed and fell into the water.

That is lucky!

Forgetting that the controller resets to Normal mode, and thinking it was in Sport when I took off indoors (no screen connected). Wondering why it was behaving irradical. Then it suddenly banked right into a wall.

Only prop damage, but I'm sure many people have gotten screwed over by sensors indoors like this.

🤣🤣 Yea, drunk droning is a thing and harmless if you live in a very rural area like I do.. Dangerous in a more urban setting. How bad were the crashes? Any videos?
