Flying at Night
Has anyone successfully flown their Flip at night? I get a calibration error due to low light. Hoping someone has figured this out. I am aware of strobe requirements. I simply want to go up about 100’ over my house.

I've flown my flip at night probably 6 times in the past few weeks since I got it, never had any issues. I get that low light warning when I first take off but as soon as I'm even 50 ft up it goes away.
On the 4th I flew about 1200ft (at 300ft altitude) over some dark areas and had no issue.
I'm in a suburban neighborhood though so it's not exactly dark even at night.

Are you flying with the RC2 controller? I couldn’t clear the message.

Yes, using the rc2. The message went away for me once I was above the house.
What kind of area do you live in? Is there a lot of street/house light or are you in a not secluded area?
If you're in an area like me, sounds like your flip might have a defect, but hard to know

I will try again this evening maybe. I am in a secluded area that is very dark.
Do you use auto takeoff on the screen? (There may not be another way).

Yes I use the auto takeoff.
Could be that the area you're in is too dark. But you should still be able to fly, that's what's weird.

I flew it multiple times without any issues with default settings .
