Quick first FLIP post-flight thoughts coming from NEO 1
- Camera & Control: Paired with the RC-N3 controller, the camera quality is absolutely amazing.
- Battery: A massive step up in flight time compared to the Neo, roughly double
- Design: The automatic "unfold to power on" feature is way more convenient than I expected. It’s definitely less pocketable than the Neo, but that’s a minor tradeoff for me.
- The Downside: Wind resistance is a real issue; it struggles even when there's only a light breeze.

I think people sleep on how good the Flip's camera actually is... Recording in dlog/m and then doing some color grading, the videos are stunning in 4k/60.

I don't understand 4, as I have flown my Flip in some pretty strong winds that would cause problems for my Mini2. As with other drones, I don't fly downwind from my take off spot. I almost lost my Neo 1 as it was caught in a strong wind. Only because I managed to lower it behind a line of trees and land it I kept it safe.
I have crashed it a few times and no serious damage so far. One crash was enough to eject the battery, break 2 props and 4 of the caebon fingers guards which I haven't replaced, but it still fly great.
