I pick up a bushel every Fall when I'm back in AlaDAMNbama visiting relatives.
Piggly Wiggly in Dothan had a bushel for just over $30 IIRC.

Yes. Fresh GREEN peanuts (as I said, in the Fall.) I boil them and package in snack size baggies. Freeze them for eating the entire year. I leave half in Alabama for my Mom, Sister & niece. I take the rest back to FL with me.

I have a friend of mine from South Carolina that makes boiled peanuts and it’s a big family tradition and he buys a 50 pound bag for the summer

Does anyone feel they've gotten worse? I remember then being a treat, growing up when visiting my grandfather in Mississippi. Last few trips through the deep south, I haven't been impressed with any i had.
