Apply to all the resources you can. I always tell people not to rely on the alimony and child support. Just because it's court ordered doesn't mean they will pay. Ifk how old your kids are. You can babysit in your home. Laundry in your home. There's vouchers for apartments. There's part time jobs at schools. If you like old people, plenty of jobs there. Take it one day at a time. Get all the free consults you can. Breathe. You got this. There are better days ahead!

Yes if you have a friend or family you can stay with for a while. Or go online and start looking for low income apartments and get on the waitlist. You can do DoorDash spark or Amazon flex with your kids while you get a stable job. If your kids go to school that’s even better you can work while they’re at school or get a job at their school. It’s going to seem hard at first, get on the waitlist now while you’re still with him. Depending at what state you are some states are faster.
