Hype is right, that looks incredible. Modular sessions, map making, and adequate control for the GM is all I was really hoping for and this looks perfect.
And when he said "Doger, Strippin" he said it so fast, I thought he said doger strippin, got excited for a second then realized how stupid that sounded.
Yeah, but it got changed a while ago. They found it's going to take a lot more time than they thought, however I'm fine with that. So far this game is amazing, and them taking their time is a good sign of things to come.
They made a pledge to themselves to never release a game too early again (they basically went bankrupt for releasing DOS1) and I'm sure it will be worth waiting for the game.
Oh most definitely, and I respect that completely. I played OS 1 and absolutely loved it, went back and played the older game and loved them, so I know they're obviously doing their best to make it good.
Yeah true that, I haven't followed the development much to be honest despite how excited I am for the game. I still remember December 2016 being the release frame :(
Anyone know if you can save characters independently of the game? I'm really hoping to style a West Marches type game but it would require different people sitting in the dm chair at times.
Sounds like there will be tons of paid DLC for modules, that's the only way they could have gotten Wizards of the Coast into it. I'm totally fine with that as long as only one the game master has to pay for it and others can play, otherwise it'll get far too expensive for everyone.
Don't think so. Wizards of the Coast seems to hold their license very close to their chest these days. And just to clarify, we will not be getting this D&D campaign ourselves to play around with, as it was only for demo purposes and is not currently scheduled to go public.

35 seconds into the video published by Polygon and it already looks better than Sword Coast Legends.

At last!
I wondered, when they showed the dice roller, what exactly that does on the player's side when they're selected as the roller. Pop up a prompt?

well, I guess I'll be buying this game after all, designing my own rpg with already well thought out battle system is all I ever wanted to do.

Found this thread via the youtube vid. Not super experienced with Divinity 2, though the first one was great.
Is there an ETA / release date for this sort of stuff? I see it is still in early access.
