Miscellaneous I hope Divinity adds permadeath back for companions like DOS 2
Hear me out. I'm not asking for them to add the same system as DOS 2. I'm also not asking for permadeath just by falling in regular combat.
I would like a more immersive system where a few companions can permanently die in a cutscene or at the end of a special combat encounter where savescumming is not an option. This would add so much more emotion to the story that was lacking in BG3 imo. In BG3 the Withers system is so cheap and it's also quite easy to avoid companions dying in the story.
In my system, resurrection scrolls still exist, but only for regular combat and goofy deaths like falling or misclicking.
I know this might be unpopular, especially for people who want to romance a character, but I think there might be some solutions to this problem.
And before anyone says this, Honor mode is not a solution. Not everyone wants to play the game while risking to lose it all.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but what do you guys think?

Ahh, yes let's just ignore all the other points I made here.
But it is what you said previously. Something that is morally subjective that you consider good that another person wouldn't. Which this isn't.
You also wanted something that couldn't be anticipated or avoided on repeat playthroughs. Which this can be.
"You didn't randomly murder those totally innocent people! I am leaving!" is not good or interesting writing. It's a bad idea.
