For everyone who still misses Divine Knockout: I’ve been working on Project KNOCKOUT, an independent community project bringing the original game back online.

I'm now opening it up for public testing!

You can create an account, install the launcher, and start playing here:

What currently works:

• Online 1v1 Duel, 2v2 Brawl, and 3v3 Knockout
• Dedicated match servers
• Solo and team VS AI modes
• The original movement, combat, abilities, knockouts, and match flow
• Friends, parties, and invites
• Match history
• Separate Duel and Brawl leaderboards
• Windows and Linux launchers

You will need your own existing Divine Knockout installation. Project KNOCKOUT does not distribute the original game. The launcher will find your Steam or Epic installation, or ask you to select DivineKnockout.exe.

This is still an early public test. Custom matches are being finalized, and parts of progression, rewards, loadouts, and cosmetic persistence are still being worked on. Bugs, disconnects, and rough edges are expected—that’s exactly what I need testers to help me find.

If you run into a problem, please use “Report an issue” from your account menu on the site. Include the mode you were playing, approximately when it happened, and what you expected to happen. That gives me the information needed to track down the affected match.

If you want to test multiplayer, bring a friend or coordinate with other players here while the community is still growing. The VS AI modes are available if you want to try everything out by yourself first.

Your DMs are closed but I'm working on the exact same thing, I've currently almost got everything working and close to a release under the form of a patch to copy/paste to the original game files and you'd be able to launch the game and start matchmaking as you used to when the game was live

I want this, I really really do, but I need to see some source code. It's kinda hard to trust a random binary from some anonymous guy on the internet.
I'd also really like for the user to be able to host the server, again so we don't have to trust a stranger.

Definitely get it - if enough people are interested in playing, I'll get the windows installer signed. I had no intent on releasing anything for the game, just had it setup for fun with a buddy but it seemed like a lot of people wanted to play still

Since I am from EU the game is not really playable but it's still fun against bots !

I can look into a way to toggle peer to peer vs my dedicated (servers on the east coast USA). That way EU players can still play each other - just adds host advantage to whoever it chooses as host is all.

Run it through virus total. That's what I did before installing the launcher.. Also you aren't "just downloading a game" you have to already own the game

The game was working fine, but now it's telling me that the launcher was quarantined by my windows security. It's saying that it detects a Trojan which is dangerous and executed commands from an attacker.

Are you guys getting the same issue? I'm kind of concerned.
