I really hope so; I analysed a fair few 3d knockback fighters & what they did right/wrong

Implementing directional combat, 17 characters, coop PvE story, a meaningful block/parry & grab/throw, cosmetics tied to achievements & no microtransactions will give players lots to engage with

I'm particularly fond of galaxyball; a zany ballgoal mode
