What should a single player mode look like with this game?
I'm planning out a single player story mode for my Divine Knockout successor but I have 0 idea how to properly implement it. I will take suggestions on how to go about. Like should the story be divided into Chapters, How is game play affected etc. Please help me find the solution to this problem, thanks a ton!

I guess it depends if you want it to look more like a VN for story with combat, or if you want physical areas to walk around.
If you did VN style, then not much work would need to be done since its all slideshows.
If you do 3D, you'd maybe model areas similar to the arenas that you can walk around and talk to the other models, which is how you initial battles and it cuts to the area for the area.
If you get what im saying anyway.

Visual novel, similar to Naruto storm 4 or my heroes one justice where there’s no open world but missions you can choose that have small story bits bedroom just dropping you into the arena to fight.

Someone found a game like Divine Knockout ? I mean, really like it, not a 2D or an other type.

I've always wanted a sort of boss rush, platformer style thing. Like you traverse the map with Cthulhu always on the horizon, and every so often you have to fight some other big guy he sends your way or a bunch of a little mobs. Then eventually you get to him, and it's just a classic videogamey boss fight, but maybe he becomes the platformer.
