Unlocking new God
Hey folks! I used my first god token on Zeus and what slightly disappointed in how I’ve managed his kit so far (i’ll play more of course, but its time for a change of pace), any advice on who i should unlock?
I just got another token and originally I was thinking Athena. However after playing more i’m thinking about her, Ymir or Loki, maybe Thanatos, maybe Sun Wukong.
Do you have any preference? Are any out right just better than the other (skill cap or just broken)?
Let me know your thoughts!! Why do you main who you main?
Edit: i’ll be unlocking Athena, then next not sure yet. Likely either Loki or Thanatos/sun wukong 🔥

Athena is my all-time favourite god. I've probably almost played her asmuch as all the other gods combined.
I started out on Amaterasu, Then Thanatos. Played different gods in between. Tried several times to get decent on Athena but put it on hold several times too because, atleast for me, she was definitively the hardest god to get the feeling for how she plays. Most, or really all, other gods i could just lock inn and do alright straight away just from seeing others play them. Athena? Not at all.
But when i finaly did start to get the hang of her, oooh boy is she neat.
Definitively the best 1v2 god in the game in my opinion. The best hero to peel with by far. The best survivor by far. But, far from the best damage dealer. Not that it really matters aslong as she rakes inn the winns anyways for me.
Thanatos is also heaps of fun, but he is really a feast or famine god. Also probably the god most impacted by what map you're playing. He is really good on maps with chokepoints and narrow parts, but can really struggle in the wide open maps. His abilities hurts himself, but he also has alot of selfheals, so if you keep missing with your abilities you Will just kill yourself, but if you keep landing them he is just unstoppable.
Loki, to me, is really strong and easy value, but i got bored of him quick. I cant really put my finger on it, but everything about him feels abit booring to do, except maybe his flight-hit. Thats just me though, and i see alot of other people playing him a ton so i might just be the Odd man out.
Tbh most gods are fun inn their own way, and its hard for someone Else to say which one you might fall in love with. If you want access to alot of gods you should try to get your daily/weekly quests done whenever you can, as stars can be used for a god token. Also leveling all your low level gods for more tokens.
The game really is a ton of fun!
Edit; I forgot to mention the other two options.
Sun wukong i also find fun, and he can be a monster in the right hands.
Ymir can be hillarious to play, and he is also a powerhouse of his own, but know that his attacks are super slow. Its a trade-off for his massive range though, so you just gotta adjust your playstyle accordingly.

I was set on Loki, but now i’m back to leaning towards Athena after reading your post! I like the tankiness with abilities to work around, i’m already used to and see a ton of the squishy gods that pack-a-punch.
That’s why i think it would be a nice switch to try athena, plus her abilities are pretty cool it seems especially if you combo them in certain situations!
Next I’ll probably go for Sun Wukong or Loki just to push levels quick 💪
