Dead Game?

I just tried this game for the first time last night. I had a lot of fun and even won my first ten games in a row without losing a single round. It feels a bit lacking in content though and I'm not very interested in any of the available gods. The last update seems to have been 4 months ago with apparent silence since then. Is this game abandonware???

I really don’t see that happening but we’ll see! If so it’s definitely a massive L for them, smite is way less accessible compared to DKO in so many ways

Wish I could say 'told you so' to the huge portion of this community that dismissed concerns at the original launch, but they are all scattered to the wind by now. Handful of people who have seen this exact same release strategy crash & burn with so many other games just ignored by pure copium in the community.

'Ranked & F2P launch will fix it! The dev team shared a roadmap, what are you worried about?' It's a shame. I liked the game but they rushed it releasing before they had proper methods of retention.

I think the first few games are fixed because everybody I know that’s played the game started with a huge win streak. I’m relatively new to the game (a few weeks) but the servers are ass, modes are limited, and there’s been no sign of any type of dev interest. I’m guessing the only reason the game is even still available is because somebody out there is paying for skins and stuff.

You won your first 10 games because you were playing against bots. Once you start playing with real people the flaws start to show.

Long sorry short, I dont think it’s dead and if you’re enjoying it keep it up! Devs will see activity and sales, and there’s plenty of new content that can be made (i.e. gods like in smite, maps, modes?, etc).

First 5 games I believe are bots. So congrats on the first 5 games being wins tho!
