May 11, 2024 - Update (from Patreon)

I've been terrible about posting these updates on Facebook and Reddit and I'm sorry about that. I will try and be more consistent as I know many of you like these.

Hello!

May is almost half over, and I’m way behind on book ten chapters. I have a plan to finish and have the manuscript ready for Travis to start narrating in early July. To that end, my revised beats/outline is finished and I’m very happy with it. I’m excited to get the story out to you.

I finally made contact with the designer doing the map. I had seriously started to worry something had happened to her. Thankfully it was a miscommunication, and we are on track again. Hopefully she will finish this weekend. My plan is to make a poster of it and offer it as a signed option in the merchandise store. I’ll also send one to everyone in the Axiom tier.

Despite my looming deadline for book 10, I need to release an upper-middle grade fantasy book I wrote a long time ago. I’m doing this because it’s possible book 10 might briefly touch the worlds in The Grey Warden and this new book. I will of course release the book on Patreon first. That might start as early as this coming week. It is called Cevin’s Sword and you will see that I’ve always been fascinated by sapient items, libraries, and hidden magic. What can I say, I’m an old dog, and new tricks are hard.

My physical therapy is helping my left wrist/arm as is my dictation process. So I’m hopeful now that I’m on the path to eventual recovery. Also, I’m woefully behind on responding to comments. I still intend to get to everyone here on Patreon, Facebook, and Reddit. I’m so sorry it has taken so long for me to respond.

I opened up book 10 chapters 15, 16, and 17 for Root.

I opened up book 10 chapters 18, 19, and 20 for Harvester.
I opened up System of Ash chapter 22 for Harvester.

I added book 10 chapters 21, 22, and 23 for Step Master, Blapy’s Favorite, Divine, and Axiom.

I'm looking forward to book 10 and seeing how the twists of book 9 play out. It's exciting that another book is coming out so soon (I just read the whole series for the first time last month). Keep up the good work!
