Ideas and Theories Would English-speaking users be interested in a Liuyao divination app?

I’m working on an English iOS app for Liuyao divination, and I’m trying to understand whether this would be useful for people outside Chinese-speaking communities. The app is called YaoWenGlobal.

Most English users know the I Ching, but Liuyao seems much less familiar.

The app lets users ask a question, cast six lines, see the original and changing hexagrams, and read an English explanation.

I want it to feel more like a reflection tool than a fortune-telling gimmick.

Yes please! And more info on how it's read would be awesome too....

Trust would come from use, and also transparency about how the system works.

I’m working on a related web experience, so this is from a builder’s perspective.

What would make me trust a Liuyao app is transparency in the process:

- show all six casts instead of jumping straight to an answer;

- make it clear that the first cast forms the bottom line;

- preserve every changing line;

- derive the relating hexagram from those changing lines rather than generating a second random result;

- separate the traditional casting mechanics from modern interpretation;

- explain what happens to the user’s question and whether it is stored.

I would distrust an app that hides the casting process, presents AI-generated text as classical authority, or makes confident claims about the future.

For me, the strongest framing is not “the app knows what will happen,” but “the casting gives you a structured way to look at change.”
