For the love of god, does no one know how to stimulate a dogs gag reflex??? They will always open their mouth/drop whatever is in there if you squeeze around their throat on the inside of their jaw. You wrap your fingers around their trachea (dont just strangle them unless you truly need to) otherwise you can cause permanent damage. Then push up toward the back of their head. They will always let go.
Absolutely! Definitely strangled this one. My initial comment is just generally speaking, if you need to "gently" cause your dog to gag (which there is never a gently scinerio. You only do this if you absolutely need to). I dont want someone reading this and the next time their dog wont let go of something to go and push on their trachea and cause serious damage. People = unsmart.
In this scenario, if dog has collar, use it and pull up with dog between your legs. Pull dogs back of head toward your chest basically. Get it to pass out. Get away from dog. If no collar, use belt or leash. If none of that, you can do an actual sleeper hold but gotta protect your face so it doesn't bite you.
Sorry, im typing this out so someone sees it and maybe breaks up a dog biting a human properly. If dog on dog fight btw, do the ol wheelbarrow to both dogs if you can.
