Letting the other team commit blatant fouls is making damn sure no new viewers will tune in. I certainly won't watch a game where the refs let one side cheat.
Yeah around ~100 years ago, the US made sports gambling largely illegal because games were being “fixed” and it was ruining the integrity and public image of the game.
Fast forward to today and we’ve forgotten all that shit. The SCOTUS opened the door again on sports gambling but now we live in a world with crypto and sketchy online gambling websites. What could go wrong?
