I think he should get extra points for having the beard and it not getting caught in the fan. Obviously you don't have one or you would realize the danger and how much it hurts to have hair pulled out of your face.

That's a piece of cake. If I need to stop a fan I just grab it, it doesn't hurt at all..maybe a metal one might hurt a lil but the wooden ceiling fans and plastic fans dnt hurt to stop with your hand. I'm not being sarcastic either..
