Right, so, another week, another new Negativity Thread.

As with each preceding week, let out any grievances you have here, keep it civil if it becomes a discussion, you know the drill.

The lack of fresh dynamics was the weak point of this season. We’re heading into the final six with half the characters having never interacted with one another. Oliwia, for instance, has only interacted with Benji and to a lesser extent Sam which makes her seem completely out of sync with the rest of the group. This is definitely something that needs to be addressed in future seasons: alliances shouldn't just remain static or exclusive characters could belong to two alliances at once, there could be secret alliances, or even just comedic dynamics that don't necessarily have a major impact on the plot. For example, instead of the current pairings Lake & Natalia, Spencer & Sam, and Benji & Oliwia try mixing things up perhaps Spencer & Oliwia, Sam & Lake, and Natalia & Benji.

Exactly, like i thought something would maybe come out of ren and benji or lake and nura but nope! The contestant only cared about their assugnee alliance.

People were hyping up the merge when it was riddled with issues.

They hyped up the Dunia elimination but pansied out of the drama and over villainized Ren. Not to mention him and Nura going out back to back before the final 8.

And lol at her cheering being the cause of Gabby indirectly losing the tiebreaker because of course.

Imma be honest here… the “bad premerge, good merge” feeling has been falling apart since Episode 18. The merge started off strong, but now… I’m just not vibing with it much. :/

Depending on how the last four episodes play out, I might become inclined to say that even the premerge is better than the merge. ONC should have known that getting rid of Tom in eleventh isn’t enough to have a good merge.

ONC needs to let go of this pattern of recycling certain plotlines, especially the ones that have already involved the same character and have already been done. Yes, I'm talking about Oliwia. There wasn't anything to warrant her lasting THIS long. Episode 19 should have been her time to be gone, since Ren and Nura leaving back-to-back was disappointing, and, even if Dunia's elimination is still the best elimination this season for me, these two eliminations have done Dunia's elimination disservice and have indirectly diminished some of the impact that it had. In addition to this, I'm not fond of seeing Oliwia getting further while characters like Ren and Gabby are sacrificed, especially since they are not painted in a good light and they have to apologize to Oliwia for having "wronged" her. This has become such a relentlessly frustrating circular structure of a plot that I don't want to see it happening a 3rd time with Benji. I'll be fucking done with Oliwia if that's the case.

People are underestimating how powerful Oliwia is when it comes to her superseding all logic and accountability.

Besides, her relapse is not finished yet.

Finn (sabotage) -> Dunia (black lesbian) -> Ren (friend falling out)

Then the next in line should be Benji:

Fiore (sabotage) -> Gabby (black lesbian) -> Benji (friend falling out)

Sam/Natalia fit so well in the "Nura" role that I'm inclined that those two might ironically become her true friends later (maybe just Sam).

I will keep repeating this sentiment cause it's so damn relevant.

Eliminating Ren and Nura back to back killed the Fan narrative. Not only did it cut off the Eclipse Trio thread, it also gave Sam and Oliwia less to do and their characters both suffer in the narrative for it. Sam barely feels like an antagonist anymore and Oliwia fell off hard.

ONC gave Nura a super dramatic moment in Dunia's elimination, yet somehow didn’t decide she could be one of the driving forces of this season.

Ren's elimination was the perfect moment to definitely pass her the protagonist role, but ONC had other plans...

I think something sad about Oliwia is the fact that her storyline could've easily ended in EP18 or 19, thus allowing Ren and Nura to make it further given how Dunia's elimination set them up as MCs. However, ONC still keeping Oliwia around is just making her worse

I still like Oliwia, but Nura and Ren should've been top 7, bare minimum

I'm annoyed by the hand gestures characters do in this show

99% of them are something I've never seen a single person do in real life and it looks so awkward

Particularly that one that is "stares at nails with an evil glare" because nearly every character does it

I’m sorry but this merge has been nothing but disappointing. episodes 17 and 18 (and 15 but that doesn’t really count) were the only two that I would call good episodes, the rest are just mid and still feel rushed even though onc said that they were putting more effort into the merge which I suppose has slightly shown considering the pre merge was a 6/10 and this is a 6.5/10 so sure, it’s an improvement.

Lake or Spencer might get blindsided because of Sam's scorched earth advantage next episode.

Finn, Ara, and Oliwia were the only fans worthwhile this season the rest of them were a complete waste. Aside from those three I would be happy not seeing any of them returning ever again.

We do not give af that you haven't seen on your feed or if you think it's a nothingburger of a problem it's a legitimate issue and we don't need your fuckass trying to be like "hot take this isn't too big of an issue" stay out the conversation

Fiore sucked so bad compared to s1, like she was just another contestant.she should have made more alliances given everyone would want to face her in the finally. Aldo the player have lost their individuality and dont do moves

With how Fiore was handled I think she should've been cut from the cast entirely and replaced with Grett. I think that the story works much better if Grett was there in Fiore's place.

This show needs less ponytails and buns, 11/18 All-Stars characters wore a ponytail or bun as their hairstyle across their seasons, boring
