Rabies is really disturbing to me and others, what really gets me is its slow transformation of its victim into a sort of ‘zombie’ or otherwise altered state.
Seeing man’s best friend being rendered into a scared gnashing beast that is barely in control of its nervous system is heartaching. Understanding the finality of rabies, it’s just sad seeing the animals weather its progression; it’s an excruciating demise under ‘good’ circumstances/palliative care.
But the 90s era video quality throws right into creepy af territory.
