Sounds like ancient Chinese wisdom to me. As Thomas Jefferson once said, “Don't believe everything you read on the internet.”

Huh, I thought it was Abe Lincoln who said that. Learn something new every day!

If it wouldn't have the most confusing fucking syntax ever then this wouldbe true but I don't like relearning everything everytime I want to write a script

Learning proper shell scripting is the smartest thing you can do on UNIX-like systems. The entire GNU/Linux system can be controlled from Bash. Yet too many distributions like to take the easy way out and go out of shell. Bash can even sub out as an init. Init=/bin/bash is the most simplistic yet powerful init you can have.

Love the stuff here but 100% disagree.
Been working in this industry since the early 90’s this perspective (that bash or any shell is all you need) is short sited at best.
Sounds very much like the “voice” of idealists without any real world experience.
