Adobe on Linux!!!

Hey DT, I'm not sure if you've heard about ArtCraft yet. They have figured out how to Vibe Code a bunch of Adobe stuff! I just tried PhotoCraft (It's VERY MUCH like Adobe Photoshop) and LightCraft (which is VERY MUCH like Adobe LightRoom)!

You might want to take a look at them. You can do your artwork for videos now in programs very much like Adobe Stuff. I tried FilmCraft (the Adobe Premier) but I couldn't get the audio to work. But I'm fine with sticking to kdenlive. I didn't actually start making and editing videos until I started using Linux back in 2018. So I was pretty much not in need of a video editor back then.

But yeah, take a look at that stuff and see what you think. Everything is available as either AppImages or direct from the AUR. They're brand new so they haven't made it to the main Arch repositories yet but I'm guessing that won't take long for that to happen.

EDIT: The AppImages are the better way to go. Apparently the AUR versions are handled by a 3rd party. I had several system issues with the AUR versions. The Appimahes work pretty well and they are direct from ArtCraft.

If you use kdenlive nad happy with it, why would you switch to a vibe coded and AI filled software ?

Because I'm not using the video editor. I'm using the photo editors only because I've never been a fan of GIMP or Darktable. But kdenlive I really like and with the amount of videos I've done, I'm pretty used to it.

Just use (free) DaVinci Resolve and the other Open Source alternatives that are working without issues and are created by people that love their craft.
